OneDrive Sharing with Guests outside your organisation
kennysarmy replied to kennysarmy's topic in How do you do....it?
Yea - haha - spotted that earlier so have asked him to confirm what happens if he goes ahead and clicks SEND anyway Cheers -
I'm trying to allow a member of SMT to share a document with the headteacher of another school. Setup is: I've checked our SMT member is in the security group allowed to share externally. I've checked the external headteacher appears in our admin centre as a guest. What am I missing as the sharer is getting this error?

Resurrecting an old post as I cannot get the code: Set-MSOlUserPrincipalName -UserPrincipalName "Old Email" -NewUserPrincipalName "New Email" To work. I'm wondering if it's because the account was synced before I had chance to run the code so now it can't find the user with the old email address :/ -
Hi, We have Meraki WiFi / Radius Auth. and Smoothwall on site. I'm about to leave for the day but happy to share any screenshots of our setup if it will help you out. Regards Jeff

Been a while since I did this, but I've copied the existing 20H2 task sequence, imported the 22H2 image, updated the task sequence for the new OS - but do I also need to update the unattend.xml? Cheers -
Our imaging process using WDS/MDT is based around 20H2 with crap stripped out. Are there any real-world advantages of moving to a more recent build? Anything coming in a future release that would make waiting the best option? Cheers

I was employed back in 1999 as a Network Manager for a single school. We're now a Trust. What's the difference between a Network Manager and an IT Manager? What's your job title and has it changed throughout your employment if you've stayed in the same post? ...and I know it's just a name

I'm on Securly at one site, when I try to add in "cdn.jsdelivr.net" I get the message "Adding this site to the Staff Policy Allow list is strongly discouraged. It should already be accessible on your network. Questions?" - so I guess all should be good.

How do you work out why you're receiving an email?

Microsoft engineer just spoken to me and admitted the policy is "wonky"! -
Smoothwall blocking O365 on our Guest Wifi
kennysarmy replied to kennysarmy's topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
This was the fix - from Smoothwall Engineer. As discussed, we checked the Smoothwall and I couldnt see anything wrong, except for potentially some dodgy routing. We looked at the old case and I saw my coleague mention the destination exemptions as a possible issue. We removed them with the exception of 10.0.0.0/8 and MS sites started working without issue. We have left them out for now as everything is confirmed to be working. I would recommend adding back in any destination exemptions that arent MS IPs, but leave the MS ones out. This should stop the issue happening again. -

So by way of update. If I send an email with the subject: "Fw: Piano" And two specific lines of text: , Alfie was late Then I get a copy of the email. I've narrowed the policy down to this one, "Anti-spam outbound policy (Default)" However the current settings are: Protection settings Restrict sending to external recipients (per hour) 0 Restrict sending to internal recipients (per hour) 0 Maximum recipient limit per day 0 Over limit action Restrict the user from sending mail until the following day Automatic forwarding Off - Forwarding is disabled Send a copy of outbound messages that exceed these limits to these users and groups On Notify these users and groups if a sender is blocked due to sending outbound spam On Still totally confused... -
It's a really awkward time for us. P4 is 12.20 to 13.20 Then lunch until 14.15 Reg 14.15 to 14.35 then P5. Think the plan might be no official watching during P4. Put it on in our halls and common rooms during lunch. Tutors to show it during tutor time until end of match then P5 start delayed. We have a 200Mb broadband and potentially 60 venues all wishing to stream - what could possibly go wrong. (temp. block on 6th form access to YouTube etc might get implemented during the match time)

If I try and ping any addresses I get: Reply from 10.107.89.250: Destination port unreachable 10.107.89.250 is the interface on the Smoothwall for the Guest network. I can ping 10.107.89.250 OK.
