Different error during install

When trying to logon using "HikCentral Professional Control Client" a couple of recent installations are giving this error: Failed to download the resource. Token is invalid. (Error Code: VSM [220]) Any ideas anyone? Have plenty of other Windows clients which are logging in fine.

Three guesses what keeps me off the streets. Did you know that golfers typically live longer than non-golfers.

I'm looking at our medium and long-term budget plans. Current network is 1Gb backbone. Current Core switch is an HP E5406zl(J8697A) installed Feb 2012. We have 17 edge locations and a total of 35 edge switches of varying ages but mostly over 7 years old, of the 35 edge switches within the school, 20 of these can only provide fast ethernet (FE) speeds The school is currently quite traditional with on premise servers, storage and Windows clients, however the plan is to move to fully cloud services within the next 3 years. From initial quotes and investigation works, it's going to cost around £45,000 more to upgrade all our fibre links to 10Gb and to provide switches capable of utilizing the additional bandwidth. Is a 10Gb back-bone worth the investment in a secondary school? Cheers

But some information here: https://www.gov.uk/cma-cases/investigation-into-conduct-of-education-software-solutions-limited#case-launch 10 January 2023: The CMA published its decision to accept commitments from ESS that enable certain schools – meaning those which had considered switching providers but concluded they did not have sufficient time to do so – to apply to an independent adjudicator for a 12-month break clause. If granted, the clause will allow them to exit their current three-year contract with ESS and choose an alternative provider, should they so wish. Schools can apply for a break clause from noon today until 10 February 2023 (via https://www.ess-sims.co.uk/breakoffers). Any applicants will be notified by the independent adjudicator – Evelyn Partners – as to whether they have been successful by no later than 31 March 2023. Formal acceptance of commitments by the CMA has brought the investigation to an end, with no decision being made as to whether the Competition Act 1998 has been infringed.

A big screen so I am not struggling to read the font. Apart from that don't need anything special, so hoping to get something reasonably cheap. Don't mind if it's a bit weighty and it will just live at home.

Think Windows would be better for me.

My eyes are terrible so looking for something I can use to remote in to school from home and replace the little netbook I've been using :/ That will probably be pretty much it's only use, so doesn't need to be anything special spec. wise.

Secondary. Windows devices. Training? No other roles come under IT team Rolling programme of investment such that PC's are replaced at 5 years old. Cloud based school, infrastructure is all sound. - - - Updated - - - Surely, it's possible to give an average

Interested in this: Fill in the blanks please. A school which has: "X" number of students "Y" number of staff and "Z" number of devices, would require a full time member of IT Support (not term-time only)
