  1. Yikes, that looks awful. I have an Ubuntu machine in one of my schools - I'll run some tests on it and I'll also forward that image to WiX if you don't mind.
  2. Now there's an idea - I could put up a picture of Dolly the Sheep and have some Spice Girls music in the backgound
  3. Also, is there a particular reason why people have suggested removing the hit counter? Is it because the number is so low or another reason? It wouldn't be a problem to hide it, just curious.
  4. I was a little worried people might see it like this - is there a way for me to edit it so that it is a nofollow link? Thanks to all who have posted so far, it's given me quite a few things to think about - will definitely look into the colour scheme and forward the speed issues and flash concerns onto WiX to get their take on it.
  5. Also quite concerning, anyone else having these problems also? How long are you having to wait? Is it enough that you'd lose interest?
  6. I'm afraid the use of Flash is out of our hands at the moment although I have to agree it is already tying our hands with iPhones and iPads not supporting it. The platform we've built the website on is currently only Flash based but I have been assured that HTML5 will be made available and a Mobile-based platform also developed. The error message quite a concern - has anyone else found this?
  7. Thanks, you never know on some forums. The last thing we want to do is offend anyone - especially as this is such a good forum. Inspire ICT - Support
  8. Hi all, I'm relatively new to this forum but I wanted to see if it would be possible to get some feedback from people about our new website. We are an ICT support company so I wanted to ask before putting up a link to the site, is it poor form to post a link to an ICT support company website for constructive feedback - if so I won't do it. Thanks in advance
  9. The other potential alternative is to import your flipcharts into Smart Notebook - not sure if it's worth the trouble though. Also not sure if you'll lose some functionality. Might be worth a test though. Personally I much prefer Smart Hardware and Software to Promethean in most cases.
  10. I recently contacted Smart (through Steljes) to see if a school could buy Smart 10 (they have some awful RM IWBs) and they said, "No, you cannot buy Smart Notebook it only comes with a new Smartboard. I can't believe this is true but it's what I was told. I do know that Smart notebook works on Promethean boards and ActivInspire works on Smartboards and that both work well interactively. You can open ActivPrimary and ActivStudio flipcharts on ActivInspire and they work interactively too. As to your licensing issues - I couldn't tell you. I think your best bet is to contact promethean direct.
  11. Another vote for iSpring - all of our schools use it.
