Some links you may be aware of: Stop the cull - rspca.org.uk and: Badger Killers Mrs.Tech_Guy and myself are ready to do our bit. We'll be in Gloucestershire this Sunday to disrupt any culling activity if we can.

Are you involved in the badger cull protests? We're trying to organise something now that it seems to be going ahead in West Gloucestershire.

I'm marching in London on Saturday. It should be interesting as I'll be wearing my V for Vendetta mask. Last time I was down in London on a protest (26th March 2011) I was asked to remove it and when I did (only to reveal another one underneath) I spent twenty minutes in the back of a police van for my troubles. A tad heavy handed considering I'm a short, middle-aged, balding old fart. I don't condone any form of troublemaking but what I do object most strongly to is the gradual erosion of our right to protest that has become the reality in this country.

The son of a family friend at Cov uni named his wifi to You're Hot as a very attractive student had moved in next door. She changed the name of her wifi to You're Not shortly after.... I'll see if I can find the picture he posted on Facebork.

I have named one of my wireless networks at home, "IT USED TO BE QUIET AROUND HERE" after some issues with noisy neighbours. It seems to have done the trick..... On my friend's road, someone has a wireless network called StpUrWifeShoutinOMGwhnSheOrga$m$

You might want to point out that it's a bit expletive laden - even if it is in German.... :0 -
You might want to avoid central London on Saturday as it might be a bit busy between 11am and 4pm.....

Great - now I know what my costume is going to be on Saturday October 20th for the march in London.....

I'm sorry but I'm going to upset everyone here by saying they should send him. He was stupid. Stupid and caught. UFOs, aspergers or not, he should man up and face the consequences instead of attempting to hide behind or blame these things.

Hi, if you were a school involved with RM / Warwickshire's We-Learn project and you have DLINK DWL-7000AP or DWL-7100AP wireless access points that are working & surplus to your requirements now then we would be interested in begging these from you or purchasing them if you were looking to sell. We only need a small number. Many thanks. PM me if you can help.

We've come to run a couple of patches in Solus 2 for Sims.Net and when we click the Sims Information button and look at the Information about your system we are told that there are a shed load of users still in Sims.Net under The following list of users are recorded as currently using your system....?! This is at midnight and after a shutdown of all our workstation clients and a reboot of the Sims.Net server. How do we clear this list / make sure that there are no users logged in? A search of Capita Support Net has turned up nowt. In the hazy distant past I seem to remember dealing with phantom users in Sims.Net when I still had hair. I thought this issue had disappeared? Thank you. Confused-in-Warwickshire.

Probably the most random questions on Edugeek for the day. Do you hold a British passport and one for another country? Have you had any problems at British immigration when you come back from abroad even though you're traveling on a British passport? Does Border Control know if you have dual citizenship? Thanks.

I was in India a couple of years back and the hotel we stayed at in Delhi had an 'IT Business Suite' - it looked great until I peered under the counters only to see a complete lash up of bare wires and car batteries being used as cps....

It's good for older systems. I've got a creaky desktop that it'll beef up a bit. Better than buying a new PC.

I hate you. That's another £99-odd quid gone.

We're using Google Earth. When users click on any of the Places content on an area the bubble appears but it's devoid of any content - it's blank. Has anyone seen this before? We use Websense and adding http://mw1.google.com/* to be permitted doesn't have any effect.

We upgraded all teaching staff to MS Office 2010 over the holiday. Not a big leap from MS Office 2007 but you should have heard the whingeing on the first day back......

I've become very lazy and just order a QNAP when we need anything now. Easy to set up and manage.
