After, Our staff laptops are displaying the following error message when attempting to install any software, we have always allowed the permission but now we get an error. You do not have sufficient privileges to complete the installation for all users of the machine. Log in as an administrator and then retry the installation. I have googled the error and our policies are correct for what I have seen, and ideally for home printers etc. they need access, so just wondering if anyone has a solution? thanks for you time

Good Morning, Thank you for the responses. So the scenario is, I have been at the school for 19 years, pretty much as a Snr Tech working alongside a Network Manager for 16 of these years. He left this summer and the school appointed an external candidate. I have no desire to leave the school anytime soon due to its location, my history at th school and also my son has just started in Year 7. Just to reference a few of the replies. I dont need to train up to match the NM as i am training him and at times doing his job. We already cover Av and Repro as a department with me taking the lead on Repro support. We are already working on Cyber Essentials and GDPR is covered as well. As a school we are well covered, so its possible for me to try and find soemthing outside of ICT that i can approach the head with. Thanks

Afternoon, I'm just looking for some guidance, I have just had a meeting with our Headteacher regarding my current role as a Snr Tech to see how I can develop my role. We already have a Network Manager in place so I feel anything I suggest will be already being done, and dont want to step on anyones toes. The reason for my post is im wondering if any of you that are currently in a tech role, do you do anything around the school that doesnt fall into the scope of a tech role? I need to come up with some suggestions that can potential help me move up a scale. Any advice/guidance is much appreciated. Thank you

Afternoon, Sorry to return to this but needing some formula advice again. So from the previous messages i wanted to be able to highlight the age which with your help i was able to do so. What i want to do now is import those items into a new sheet, so using the import range but based on the count if command to highlight just the devices that fall within age range. if that makes sense? so i was using =COUNTIF('Active Assets'!L2:L3000,"<=1") but i need to be able to import them and cant quite the formula right, so wondered if anyone might have any suggestions? thank you

Thanks everyone for your help. Found a new issue, I had transferred my assets into a google sheets and sheets doesn't support format as a table, so the formulas wont work

Thanks for that. That would be useful to get the years, The end goal would be to create a chart and a list to show those devices that are under 1 year, devices between 1-3 years and those that are 3-5 years and then 5 years and above, if that makes sense. thanks

Hello, I have a spreadsheet which keeps all our assets in place and I'm trying to get a formula that will count how many devices are over 1yr, 3 yr and 5years old. It think I should be using the COUntif formula but no matter what I use I cant get any results and just wondered if there are any excel wizards out there that could possibly offer any assistance. thanks

Afternoon, Just looking for some advice on how you set up laptops for exams. We currently have a load of standalone Win10 devices for the exams but as I have disabled everything on them, they are asking for activation, so looking to get around this by putting the devices on the network and managing via Group Policy. What setups do you all have and is there anything else I would need to consider? thanks for any advice offered
