We have it on the devices, I was looking for a method to get it to auto-launch at start-up, just to save students from having to load it each time they change device. another question relating to GCPW, my devices don't appear to be enrolling into endpoint device management, I have the option set within the admin console to allow enrollment and Windows Deveice Management is enabled. Any ideas why they are not enrolling? Thanks

Thanks, thats all i have as well, worth asking the question, but if no one else has managed it then will save some investigation time. thanks

Thanks for your reply. I have it all working, the test users I had forgot to add their AD usernames. so now its working, my next question is, is there anyway to get Google Drive to load as a mapped drive? or to auto log that in so that's it mounts? Thanks

Good Morning, Apologies for reopening this thread, I am currently looking at using GCPW and Enhanced desktop with our Windows 10 devices. And I have a few questions, that I wondered if anyone can assist with, if possible? I have followed all the Google guidance to set this up but I'm not sure I'm getting it right. I have a test user, that can log in via Google on the Windows 10 machine, however, I'm not sure it's pulling down its Windows 10 profile, is there a good way to test this? Secondly, My test devices doesn't appear in the Google Admin console as an Endpoint, so not sure why the auto-enrolment is not taking place. I haven't added any of the registry fixes as I have made these changes in the Admin console. Thirdly, to make sure this solution would be an option for our school, do our Group Policies still apply? will I still get a student desktop/start menu? Thank you for any guidance

The only issue i seem to be having with AC2 is that when adding apps to multiple devices, bit it one app or many apps, it fails. However if i try the same with one iPad and push one or many apps this still isnt consistent and can fail. both events when tried multiple times can possible work. Not sure if anyway has any solutions for that

Thanks, Thats seems okay. I have an account that I used for VPP which has paid apps assigned to it, if i attempt to use this account in AC2 it wants to take over the account, i m guessing the best option is to create a new account for AC2 and VPP? Thanks

Thanks will have a look at that for todays task. one more regarding blueprints, if i make a change to a policy, do i have to run the blueprint each time, as this re-installs all apps and dont really want this for what might be a small restriction change. Thanks

Just attempted to install apps and they all installed first time, however the apps did all ask for the iTunes account details, adding this it worked fine, then i think i can disable the install apps via restrictions. The only issue with this is that i would have to add the details to a trolley of 17 iPads each time. Anyone found a way around this? With regards to naming, I set it up to work with the blueprint, but whilst testing and updating the blueprint to apply new profiles and new apps, it was also assigning a new name to the device so think this might have to be a manual step, unless it can be set to not overwrite.

ok, I have been having a play with AC this afternoon, and what i'm finding with setting it up is the following: - Open AC2, set up preferences with organization details. - Log into the App store ready for installing apps. - Create 1/2 profiles to cover wifi and restrictions, I have done these as two separate profiles. - Create new blueprint for a trolley of iPads, adding apps and adding profiles required, so for this i applied both profiles. - Plug in iPad and modify Device name and wallpaper - Prepare iPad - Apply Blueprint - Complete setup of iPad, i had set all the steps to be skipped during Preparation setup. So few questions based on this, 1 - If the device has already been prepared and had the blueprint assigned, do further devices requiring to be prepared? not tested but if an iPad has a blueprint applied without preparing, what happens to the device, i guess it setup but not supervised? 2 - If i want to edit a blueprint, other than adding apps and profiles, what else can be done, i have sections for setup and device but there is nothing showing under there. 3 - Does the above steps seem correct for initial setup? 4 - The above doesnt show any MDM in configured, just wondering the benefits are other than being applying to push outs settings remotely, if this is the case, surely i would be best to supervise the devices, add wifi settings and then auto enroll into Profile manager and then push out the apps and restrictions this way? Thanks for any assistance offered.

when you plug the iPads in does it apply the blueprint each time? if this is the case and any work is saved in an app, will be reset in the same way that you could take a backup in AC.

Hello, we have taken delivery of a set of new iPads and I had planned to update them via Apple Configurator, only to find out that they were AC was not supporting 9.1 devices. looked into this further and found out about Apple Configurator 2, so on a spare iMac i have updated to El Capitan and AC2 to test. I have also done some Google searches and read the whole of this thread and had a play with AC2 and everything seems to work fine, so now i want to look at configuring the set of iPads. However there are a few issues I haven't been able to find answers for, so wondered if anyone could assist me? 1 - As a current AC user, we have used just this to manage our iPad trolleys, having previously looked at Profile Manager and Meraki, so what I was wondering is what is the benefits of using AC2 and Profile Manager? as its appears a lot of the restrictions/management options are duplicated, the only benefit is that these settings can be pushed over wi-fi reducing the need for devices to be returned to AC2? Am I right in my thinking? also if this is the case, then where do you set your restrictions, AC2 or Profile Manager? 2 - Blueprints, i dont quite get how they are updated, I can create them but i don't get how to update these with settings like folder structures, wallpapers etc. Also if a blueprint is installing apps, when i update a device will it override the apps? My concern with this is, we had an iPad trolley that used a video app that stored content within the app until exported to Camera Roll. I also had a master iPad image that when the device were plugged in for updating would then push out the master image, this however reset all apps so i wouldn't want this to happen with the blueprints. 3 - How do i restrict the changing of wallpapers and passcodes, i thought i had looked everywhere but cant see this option. Thanks for you assistance.
