Good afternoon, I am attempting to access our old tenancy and my admin account has MFA assigned with a number I do not recognise, this may be a historical number from before I joined the school. I need to know if there is a way to gain access so that it can be changed and we can migrate our users to a tenancy. As far a I am aware, MFA was not set up for this site, as i have had access previously, just not sure exactly when they MFA was assigned. Am i right in thinking that Microsoft enforced MFA for all site admins? Thank you for any support offered.

Afternoon all, I have decided to deploy BGinfo to the desktops at the school I have taken over, but cant get it to run. The steps I have taken, Created folder on \\servername\SYSVOL\domainname\scripts\BGinfo in this folder I have the BGinfo.exe and the bgi configure file. I have created a batch file to run both files with the switches /silent /timer:0 I have pushed this out as a startup script via Group Policy as a User Logon script This doesn't run the batch file and wonder if I have missed a set Any advice is much appreciated. so im thinking that a user logs on, with OneDrive running in the background, they get their network desktop and can save to this, at which point OneDrive back this up, but this seems too long-winded whereas their desktop could be just a OneDrive folder, can this be done?

Good afternoon, Trying to get my head around something and confusing myself with the potential setup. I have inherited a network that is changing from one MS Tenant to another. The used One Drive and we have just migrated everything to their new OneDrive. We have folder redirect set up for desktops. Now If i set up a new OneDrive app it allows me to backup desktops, but i have to select it, which i think some staff are using, but not everyone, so need to find a solution that works both ways. For those users that have backup set, if they don't run OneDrive then it displays their network desktop. I guess, I'm just looking for the best way to have desktops setup up, and how to link OneDrive to access everything from home, nest practice really. Any guidance is much appreciated, thanks

Good afternoon, Quick question if anyone can advise? I've just inherited a school with Server 2012 and having issues with quote management. Each student has a 3 GB quota in place. the first time I've been asked to look into this and can't recall previous setups. So the users cannot save and they are not hitting their quote so I'm looking at the quote set for their students shared are set at only 4 GB, but I've not yet made a change and I'm sure looking at individuals they would be exceeding this, so not quite sure why they are unable to save, but does that 4 GB on the student share seem right? Good Morning, Ive taken over at a school and I'm finding that my HDD's are filling up on staff desktops. They use M365, so when I manually delete any profiles from c:\users it does provide space but also it shows as files more than the HDD size being deleted so presumably some sort of place holder for M365 documents. I used to have Delprof in place, just wondering if this is still the best option? For some of the devices I've manually removed profiles but when that user has returned to use the computer it doesn't allow them to log back in? Any suggestions to improve this workflow, would be much appreciated. Thank you

Good Morning, Sorry fo ropening the ticket, but I have since moved to a new school and looking at creating a free asset database, this time going back to Excel rather than Google. The reason for asking the question again is that Excel doesn't have an Importrange formula, and I want to try and create a worksheet with data from another worksheet. So, I have a table that includes a list of IT kit and this also displays the age of the kit. I have countif set up for: =COUNTIF('Active Assets'!L2:L3186,"<=1") =COUNTIFS('Active Assets'!L2:L3186,">1",'Active Assets'!L2:L3186,"<=3") etc. From Active Assets there is a column that uses =DATEDIF([@[PURCHASE DATE]],TODAY(),"y") that gives the current age of the device. On another worksheet, i need to pull the date from Active Assets to show only those devices that are "<=1",">1,<=3" Ive played around but cant seem to get it to work how i did with Google, which to be fair did exactly what i wanted. So I know several responses last time were from really useful excel wizards, so hopefully someone can advise on this current issue. Thank you

Hi, Just an update as im no further along. We dont use the AD sync, we have rmunifynetworkagent which seems to work with teh services correctly however any changes made in unify i get the following error in the audit log. PRIMARYTSAFAILEDPROCESSING. User: 33buckleyj. CC4 was unable to update User Properties: [Failed to set the attribute "User.DisplayName" for the user "33buckleyj". You do not have permission to modify user details.],[Failed to set the attribute "User.UniqueLearnerNumber" for the user "33buckleyj". Security Exception, Requested 'UserMan.Properties.User.UniqueLearnerNumber.Set.3']. There is a clear communication issue and has to be a user account that is missing the permisions. but i dont know and the RM unify support wont help me, find out which user account and permissions are required to run the process. The account i have in Unify has full permissions. but there must be a default account being used. Any ideas? Thanks

Thanks for that, however i dont appear to have RM Unify AD Sync service installed. just going through each server and no sign of it.

Thanks I have read the article and that side of it is all configured correctly, i think teh connection between unify and cc4. Im just looking for the ad sync tool, whihc at the moment I cant locate

i think i have asked the questions before, but its getting to be more urgent now. So issue one i have with RM is that we pull our users down from Arbor to Unify, then this should link to CC4 and create the accounts in AD, however it doesnt and i presume its a serice accounts that is causing the issue, but i dont know where to look for the config that sets this account, or what permissions it should have, any ideas? thanks

Good Morning, Hope you all had a good weekend. Im just looking for some guidance on our inherited RM network. Brief overview, we had a support contract with RM but now only have it for Unify as we have become part of a trust. so RM wont assist any queries relating to Unify and Management Console. Quick question, I am attempting to disable the internet for a user from the console. but i get a permission error that i dont have permissoin to edit a user details. I am using both my admin account and the system admin and both get the same error. Just wondering if anyone can offer any assistance of advice? Thank you

But eveytime i attempt to add the apps, they fail, i presumt this is RM issue, I have full admin permissons. Im just wondering if anyone can offer any assistance? Thank you
