  1. this is what i use on my website for galleries. Photography | dom111.co.uk reads the image name as the title or reads off a text file which maps file name to a title.
  2. which part of it??
  3. The connection is VERY similar as the notch is in a slightly different position, the voltage is lower than DDR2 also
  4. the board i have in my cheap home pc can use either DDR2/DDR3 which i spouse is a handy feature to a point but you cant populate them both and DDR3 actually limits the HT speed.
  5. massive zombie thread, i have been looking at taking some Micorsoft modules (chance of me being able to fund a whole MCTS is nill) so looking and working through modules as and when i have the money for it. if i pass certain items could i still put those on a CV as a gain qualification even though it havent taken all the exams to get the full MCTS? Has anyone got any feedback on the online training resources such as Collection 6292
  6. If you have registered your KMS key and activated the ID (MS publish these on there site) it should work. SLMGR.vbs /ato "activationID" For office 2010 you need a min of 5 activations to activate the registrations so the clients are registered.
  7. i believe its a "software type" raid system?
  8. have you got SRV resource record published in your DNS? if you havent i believe you will need to tell the client when the KMS host is. SLMGR /? should give the command. also if you have installed a product using a KMS code in some cases it will try and publish itself as a KMS host in DNS Firewall on the KMS host will also block requests. the Event viewer on the KMS host will also say if it is dealing with requests and from what machine. (under application/system iirc)
  9. Since moving to Academy the decision has been taken to purchase our SIMS needs direct from CAPITA. Hants CC provide us with alot of documentation on how to apply patches updates etc and are also on the end of a phone. Does anyone have any experience or feedback about dealing direct with CAPITA? the decision has been taken to move to them already so just wanting to gather as much information about working with them thanks
  10. this faststone does resizing renaming water marking etc
  11. Anyone experiencing similar issues, been fiddling around with the sleep timers etc without any joy. Do kyocera allow you to Firmware flash these printers, as not having much luck. annoying thing is that the same network point with a FS1800 attached is bomb proof. contacted kyocera when this was in warranty and was told the problem was with the actual cabling to the printer....
  12. The HP 360G7 was the same, i have a feeling that actually getting the caddies on their own is difficult/impossible had a issue with a Dell server once.
  13. i have usually found that sourcing single keys a pita and that getting a complete keyboard was the usual result.... laptopbits.co.uk are helpful
  14. achieve able using robocopy/xcopy to a different location on a backup box each day or is there a sleeker solution?
  15. bloody tax getting in the way of something being made in the UK.... no wonder we dont make much anymore good to see it going into production
  16. id go with a HP over a brother. epson EPL6200l are decent as well, do suffer from iffy paper pickup after 10K pages mind as the roller wears other than that ideal. if after something bigger and with network access i recommend a kyocera FS2020
  17. dont sysprep the images currently (XP mind you) though W7 actually needs you to do this as part of the Default profile creation. so no doubt this will come in handy
  18. in testing havent had to do this yet but have not tried it on any imaged machines which might have issues with SID's Worth noting that the KMS license key makes the host its installed in publish itself as a KMS hosts which is fun when you have several machines advertising this in DNS
  19. either way the roll out method would be very similar, when we upgraded from 2003 to 2007 the installer was put onto the network (no user intervention required) and then launched via a script. we were fortunate that the upgrade was planned over the summer months when we do image refreshes in the major areas. still meant a little bit of legwork. 2010 does work well with KMS activation if you have this already in place?
  20. currently the LDF stands @ 1.5MB. the SIMS team have a script to set the properties if SQL studio isnt installed.
  21. career & personal development or something like that
  22. after speaking with the SIMS team they ran a script to change the logging/backup method to simple as it was set to full. further investigation suggests that the backup also had a problem and wasnt completing properly and not truncating the logs..
  23. logged a call with our SIMS team as the log file has reached almost 60GB which is plain daft. The SIMS team setup the server ages ago but they havent installed any of the SQL management suite to actually look and what logging options have been set? Not that happy with installing the suite just in case they grumble about it being unsupported. I know they have recently pulled the autumn upgrade and wondering if this might be a reason for this.
  24. good piece of software i use this alot when remote assisting customers
  25. this is a good tool. Link Removed due to YouTube T&C's violation small EXE does need updating every so often but its only the EXE which has changes usually so is easy to roll out.
