Hi I have Mosyle and am on EXA the only thing i can see i did was add.mosyle.com in allowed ip addresses and we dont have any issues, but it was a while ago when I set everything up so may have forgotten something.
-
Hi @kha11 we are a primary school I set up apple school manager and I use Mosyle free edition to manage the iPads we have and the only thing it has cost me is my time. I am looking at getting the iPads from the DfE as the spec of the laptops and windows tablets don't instil me with confidence. I think going apple school manger and Mosyle will save you more work in the long run.

We have EXA here and the only way to get it to work was to set a static IP for the device and get support to put an external IP rule for the static IP

Hi everyone Im trying to get Wonde set and just want to make sure what im doing is correct. We use Facility so I have modified Eportal with the Wonde IP address, had a new dns record added and set to point to one of our external ip address with port 443 only open inbound and then got the internal IP to go out on the external IP. Then Im going to use letsencrypt as the ssl cert Does this sound correct or have I got this completely wrong. Thank you for any advice Jordan

Have a look at https://www.alphr.com/raspberry-pi/raspberry-pi/1002611/how-i-sent-a-raspberry-pi-into-near-space it gives some insight as to what is needed and you can just put the lego figure in the box.

Not happy as we just paid for this in Sept. They must have known about this, don't believe they were just told "oh by the way we want CRISP back".
-
We went with EXA direct and saved money compared to the BGFL offering. The only thing Im not happy about is we paid lot to get set up and access crisp and now the council have taken that back, I have also been looking at a new telephone system as we have been told the system we have is no longer supported, but i cannot get an answer from Virgin regarding the system to see if that is the case.

How to audit Active directory for pwned passwords.
JOrdan01070 replied to ADMaster's topic in How do you do....it?
I have not used this yet but this looks interesting https://www.knowbe4.com/breached-password-test KnowBe4’s free NEW Breached Password Test (BPT) checks to see if your users are currently using passwords that are in publicly available breaches associated with your domain. BPT checks against your Active Directory and reports compromised passwords in use right now so that you can take action immediately! -
It sounds like you are on the aerohive select model have a look at aerohive connect it does not have all the features of select but it is free and support is through the aerohive community.

Hi @ghanel I had the same issue for the nanohds, I upgraded the controller to 5.9.32 and upgraded the AP firmware to 4.0.10.9653 as that has a lot of fixes for the nanos. Do you have advanced features turned on. So far I have not had any issues for 2 weeks. Jordan

3D printer - Ultimaker 2+ - help and advice please
JOrdan01070 replied to mikeprice's topic in Hardware
Mike UHU is just to help with bed adhesion, sounds like the nozzle is set to far from the bed if its stuck on the nozzle. I would look and bed levelling and see if you can upgrade the firmware on the one having problems, if you cannot upgrade the settings can you reset the printer back to factory settings. Hope this helps Jordan -

3D printer - Ultimaker 2+ - help and advice please
JOrdan01070 replied to mikeprice's topic in Hardware
HI Mike when you say slow printing is this the movement of the print head or the extrusion of filament, also when the filament is extruding is it inconsistent. It sounds like they have a couple of the same machines if so was the same print file used on each machine. Any grinding noises made on the one printing slowly. Jordan -
Need some advice regarding Unifi switches
JOrdan01070 replied to JOrdan01070's topic in Wired Networks
@FN-GM, @Davit2005 and @BKGarry. Thank you for the help and ideas. FN-GM network security is a concern and so is rouge DCHP servers I know the UNifi and edgeswitchs do DHCP guarding. I was looking at doing the network upgrade in stages with the wifi in one building first, then replace the fibre between the buildings and wifi. Depending on budget this upgrade could be over a couple of years. Hope fully new features like ARP etc added by the time I need to buy. -
Hi I have been looking at replacing my old network which consists of hp 1410's, netgear gs728tp's, hp 1810's and a dlink dgs1210 with unifi kit but I want to look at creating a couple of vlans. We are a 2 form primary, juniors in one building infants in another with a om1 fibre link between the two. What I have been looking at is the following, a usg-pro-4 connected to a us-16-xg switch as the core connecting to 2 us-48-poe switches and 1 us 48 switch, an OM3 fibre link to infants and ict suite were there would be another us-48-poe switch. All the switches would be connected at 10Gig back to the us-16-xg. For the Wireless replace the netgear ap with nano HDs. In total I would reduce the 11 old switches to 6 and have better management overall. Do you think I am on the right path.
