We use heritage here, but we dont have much involvement with it.. i dont know if the librian knows about eclipse or any other products out there.. He backs it up on his own onto a memory stick.. He seems to like it tho.. I can PM you his email and you could try to contact him, not sure if he would reply tho.. he avoids computers if he can. lol

I've been on a call to Microsoft for the last few days trying to figure out what was causing our mapped drives on our Application server to drop off... Symantec was causing that also.. Looks like i'm going to have to update all our servers with the MR2 patch.

Hi, Up untill recently i was able to open my network places and browse the entire network, this functionallity seems to have gone. "You may not have permission to use this network resource" it's perticuly annoying as some software i need to deploy needs me to be able to browse and select the machine names.. Hope that makes sense, if not i'll reword it over the weekend as my brain has gone to mush... Thanks Michael

We've just had it installed here.. a bloke came along and had it configured in about 30 mins... Dunno how much it cost as it was bought by the Head of ICT.. It's just started to be used by members of staff, but they will have to learn to link directly to the videos and not save them in thier user areas.

This is the same for me... but only when i'm creating the image file.. it always stops at about 450Mb.. this was when i was using the automated client method with Ghost Solution Suite.. used the boot cd and created the session manually and it worked fine..

I'm having the same problems as you describe... are you using Ghost Solution suite 2 by any chance? I think it may be to a recent update.... if you find a solution then please post it here... i will do likewise. Mike

We use AB Tutor here so hadnt thought of them not being able to see what they were surfing... Most teachers have all the screens on view anyway so they catch most of them. I think the IE7 Adm files should do it... had forgot all about the. I'll report back when solved. Mike

I have confirmed this on all the classroom machines... so its not the teachers fault... also the same result for a student login. File - New Tab is also greyed out.. but shows properly as a local admin.. so its some permission or policy somewhere..

Hi, We have IE7 rolled out here.. had it for ages.. but today a ICT Teacher has said that they cannot use tabs because they are greyed out. Is this a GPO that does this or is this to do with the IEAK? Thanks Mike

use WinDirStat to check each folder for file size.. very easy to use - will show you where that space has gone. Mike

With these laptops they have a problem with the display drivers and the screen flickering... this is solved here with the beta BIOS' HP Discussion Thread read this before you flash any BIOS'.. its quite a lenthy thread tho. Mike

we have used Toucan before, they are Educational Mac Resellers, very comptitive quotes between them and misco but went with Misco Overall, but Toucan have helped to intergrate with our network.. Their Knowledge on Mac's is unbelieveable...

we have exchange 2007 here... and from our Imac's it also doesnt work.. It's down to MS and not allowing it to access unless it from IE.. I use it with firefox with the IE Tab addon. Add all the exchange sites to be rendered in IE and Magic!.. it works. Mike

Stay Away from them!!! Terrible system, no instructions manuals or anything... seem to be very helpful until they have your money and then you cant get hold of them..

I've decided to use the "system shutdown v1.1.msi" and this works perfectly, it installs ok on the computer startup as supposed to, but after installation it shutsdown the computer! can anyone modify the msi to stop it doing this.=? Thanks Mike

Sorry for digging up such an thread. But the holiday is here and work must go on! This script works when i run it on my computer, but when i save it as a .bat and set it to a logon script it doesn't run. Could anyone shed any light? Mike

Hi, Great New Forums!!! We have a few problems here with the new version of Censornet. As it is not a firewall anymore, the kids have now realised that they can log in as a exam account which is less restrictive and then disable the proxy to have unfiltered internet. Could someone point me in the right direction of making ipcop drop all packets that do not originate from Censornet? Thanks Mike

All i did to get the google to show was download the Adsense module from Here set the module to appear on the homepage to the right. Just a bit of trial and error. I also changed a part of it to display a larger icon. Mike
