  1. Watched it and I thought it was brill got it sky+ so not to miss anything. I did stumble across a pilot unaired episode (1992) on youtube of REDDWARF USA that never aired on TV, watched a few minutes of it was interesting....
  2. You never know it could be anything maybe even a software download via a weblink circumventing a physical prize. (Btw I highly doubt it but you never know eh???!) lol
  3. Just for that hilarious vid of you guys dancing i entered. lol
  4. Can they issue you with a certificate or something upon its confirmed wiping/destruction? If so would that be a viable solution?

  8. So my friend designed a commissioned piece of claptrap from borderlands 2!! In a previous forum thread I showed you his Portal Atlas figure. The claptrap figure is part of a competition giveaway on gamespot UK as they commissioned the piece! He is well chuffed and I said I would share it with the edugeeks as well. Win a one-off Borderlands 2 Claptrap model! - GameSpot.com Please take a look at his blogspot where he goes into detail on the making of it. Thanks! Psychobob Arts Edit: here is the link to the Atlas thread http://www.edugeek.net/forums/general-chat/94596-3d-printed-atlas-figure.html
  9. You could always do a whois lookup Whois.com - Free Whois Lookup and it will break down the registrant details and the domain name servers the site is hosted on to give you a clue. I am just curious in the sense you don't have a paper trail to look it up from the bursary officer or admin? Or is this a personal website? Edit: beat me to it!
  10. Happy Birthday mate hope you have a great day!
  11. I am a huge robocop fan and when I saw it I wasn't keen on it. I have seen on other sites the comments and I would tend to agree looks like dredd+batman+ironman all mashed up horribly together. When a trailer will come out will be interesting to see what it will be like.
  12. I will probably get xenonauts as well at some point,
  13. You was suppose to say over at the end of it! Big or small school site? I know Argos do some sets. Bundles of 2 and 4's I think OVER
  14. So the wedding happened 1 week before returning to school. Suffice to say with minor things everything ran pretty smoothly, the heavens did open up but there was a small window were the the sun shone to get some really awesome photos outside. I did not stumble when I presented the rings..... thank god! The most nervous thing I was worrying myself about all day was the speech. I briefly wrote a page of things to say making sure to thank people, guests, how I knew the groom and how he asked me to be the best man. I mainly used it as a guide and not read word for word off the paper. I made sure I complimented the bride on looking fantastic and for the groom on at least 'trying'. I broke the ice initially by saying "I am nervous doing this but I don't really known why, because your all half plastered and wont remember if it was good or bad!" which was followed by everyone laughing. My secret weapon joke which i was worried might not go down well went down extremely well with even the groom getting up and coming over and hugging me saying that was good in mid speech so I am glad I said it. Went something like this: 'A wise man once told me that the best mans speech should only last as long as it takes the groom to make love....(cue me starting to walk off) ...so on that note thank you for coming goodnight!' All in all I got them laughing and everyone came up to me to say thanks for being a great host it was nice to hear. My advice for anyone is just be yourself don't read word for word off cards but more as to use it as reference points and you should be fine. I'd say 5 mins should be enough I spoke much longer than if I read off the paper which would have probably lasted a minute. If you know you can make them smile your ok.
  15. Ordered my special edition version from game yesterday! Onward October 12th!!!
  16. Hey Guys and gals welcome to Edugeek
  17. I remember watching a youtube commentary ages ago with the developer of xenonauts and got me excited because it was based off of X-COM, then some time later X-COM the FPS was being advertised and i was like uh.... (why would you do this to something i love!!!!) but afterwards they said there was 2 versions being created the latter being enemy unknown . Which version you looking to get? Game has the standard PC version at 32.99 and the special at 39.99. Or are you going to get it for console? I will get it for PC
  18. Nah the only one I played was the original but dude seriously check out the trailer for the new one looks insane!!!
  19. So I don't know if you peeps were aware but there is a game coming out called XCOM Enemy Unknown which is something that they have rebooted from the classic game which i loved back in the 90's playing even if i wasn't that great at it. Just thought I would give you peeps a heads up Its coming out on October 12th. There is a Collectors edition (Artbook, sew on patch and some other stuff) aswell as a standard edition that comes with a preorder bonus. As far as I am aware looks like Game will be selling the special edition as an exclusive. I will be ordering the special edition i am so excited!!! Just type in xcom in google and it will come up with the website, its an age restricted title so did not want to put a link up incase your at work etc but its the first hit.

Later purchasing a cassette drive, joystick and then Dizzy series, extractorator, trolls, impossamole, stunt runner, Ghouls and Ghosts and so many more aaaah memories! And borrowing those adventure books from the library with pages of code to type in and my introduction to programming! Happy Birthday C64!!! Awesome then and still awesome now.

  23. So I got the stag out the way and had room to breathe for a bit (stag do thread post number 44) but its time i got on with the speech. I of course will surf through net for suggestions and stuff but i wanted to ask you guys and gals about your experiences and advice as well on duration, things to avoid etc. Went into london few days ago with the groom, ushers and me. Had the measurements taken for our suit hire so yeah all systems go. Thanks!
  24. So i thought i would update you guys and gals as to what i did in the end if you was curious. I split the day into 2 events a daytime event and a evening event on saturday. This gave the majority of people a chance to do one thing or the other or both. Daytime: Booked a 3 hour beginner skiing class on a indoor ski slope based in hemel hempsted. It is snow and not a dry slope and is topped up every 2 weeks. Skiing | Indoor Snowboarding | The Snow Centre Since there was 10 of us that could do that it was booked as a corporate booking (i believe minimum spend on corporate booking is £250 I THINK). The session was £56 for the 3 hour's which includes ski's and waterproofs and helmet. The only thing for hygiene reason you would have to provide is waterproof insulated gloves and thick socks which you can purchase from the centre for £9 gloves and £4 socks (you could probably get em cheaper at sports direct or something before hand). We had lots of fun there was awesome and when i suggested it to everyone for an activity everyone was up for it because the majority haven't done it and the minority didn't do it in such a long time. The groom found out when we got to the centre and he was well chuffed so i was pleased! Corporate prices are not listed on the website if i recall and you would have to contact them for that they probably change a lot so hence why they are not listed. The evening: Once that was all done let everyone make there way home and then meet up later in a restaurant i booked out which quite a few peeps showed up too, got him a cake with 'Another one bites the dust!' written on it went down really well. Whoever wanted to go clubbing and stuff went and that was that. Everyone loved it and said so throughout the course of the day. I am just relieved it went well i can breathe for now...... Until the wedding and i best get on with writing a speech!
