Seriously Tony has been excellent support to myself and many other members. He has been a true sounding board for ideas for new technology in schools, always open for a technology debate on the pros and cons of a new solution as well as someone to get advice on pre-interview thoughts as well as provide excellent connections to open up networking opportunities. The advice he has given on ISPs and Filtering is excellent, as is his understanding of Data Protection and how to apply it sensibly within an education setting.I have enjoyed our networking opportunities for sharing ideas and thoughts on new technology (or in some cases old tech) in schools and how it will benefit myself and my team, my colleagues both Teaching and Support as well as the Students.

If you put the rules in the right place and order it is completely unmolested and managed just logged we have a number of sites that go through and are just logged and nothing else is done to them for very particular reasons its all about how its setup and how you set it all to process rules and the info its given. I'm with @Domino, simple lists of The Good, Bad or Ugly are old technology, the Internet is changing and saying if we haven't seen that page we block it is not benefiting teaching and learning which is the key here its being obstructive, you might as well make staff do there research at home and give you the website they want the kids to be on and just stick that in a proxy list as only allow traffic to these sites and make your own up ala early 2000s style with ISA lists! That will save you a lot of money if you take that stance, or even just turn the net off really.... Dynamic analysis is the future sites change that much especially as they become more dynamic in style with new developments in the web so yes a site may have been good to look at last week when a human reviewed it but what stopped it becoming filled with adverts for enlargements or patches and creams (I'm sure you know what I am meaning)? Dynamic analysis would go ooh thats not right and do something about it from what you have said is a guy looked at it said its Edu-Safe and passed it on and the first you know is little Johnny is looking at Katie Price with a lack of clothes and a complaint from a parent.

I'd blame NYCC personally after weeks of messing I've finally got it to work, oh an had to take the latest MSTSC off all my machines thus making more work as they haven't patched there systems up to the latest standards yet..... More serious point is it possible to App-V an Active-X control as surely that does need to be on the machine to work?

Just updated to 6.2 at work on the IT one today, its got a few colour tweaks on the main helpdesk everything is very clinical and its making a bit more fuss over Labour Time / rates which is irritating as sometimes I do track time (more to prove a point on how time consuming some rubbish is to sort out) but yet not that fussed. Got a good new filter on tickets to hide out Admin Notes, Purchase notes etc... so you can tidy busy threads up.

You not have Smoothwall? If you did you could do a time filter for all rooms / student users to ban the net? That also has rooms in it that you can play with If not do you have something like Impero that allows Net revocation?

I use Print Manager Plus and it seems fine, however we just use it for simple needs and simple reporting. Students and staff get a credit limit, exceed it and we add more and charge you for it (students have to come with the £ to us in advance staff are internally charged), the basic main program doesn't have all the feature you have listed that you want but I do know they have release modules and things you can buy as extras which will add some of the features you are wanting.

Excellent joke and as for the last one I know a vending machine that was quite good at that as well

Non-Slip paint is a specialist product and not any old Gloss. As you will see from this : Glidden Trade Products and then Glidden Trade Endurance Anti-Slip Floor Paint which is the actual product So they are talking rubbish IMHO.

I'm happy with mine as well tbh it works well most of the time but has its moments but the newer OS might have fixed that hopefully :-)

and after a few hrs of attacking and 3 updates later I have WP7.8 on my handset Love the baby tiles but they didn't have to make the bigger ones even bigger! Boots much faster and seems more responsive now as well which is good )

Apparently no-one is planning on a keyboard unit like the 7 Pro :'( HTC said they had no current plans to develop a WP8 one of the 7 due to poor sales when I asked them Unless they are just saying that to keep it a surprise but given keyboards were all the rage a few years ago they do seem to be much more sparse now Will keep attacking and hope I get it as mines a HTC OEM handset

I have got a Corsair Force GT 120GB in my PC at home and at work and they fly, BIOS and RAID Card add-in boards take longer to get through than Windows! Will be very sad if they are stopping making them as they are great bits of kit.
