We use MDT and works great for us its a pre-step before full on SCCM. Just feed in drive packs and job done 90% of the time now my team has got it down to an art.

and also don't swap between actual card and Apple / Android pay even using the same card just the virtual version as it doesn't detect it as the same card aparantly so you can end up penalty fared. Its a very busy station as its where 2 of the 4 DLR routes converge and has the Jubilee Line so you get a lot of people that come in from Norfolk and Essex into Stratford, change to Jubilee to go to Canary Wharf or out to Beckton or to Woolwich or head for Back and it gets busy. It is also the only public transport that is not a bus from London City Airport so its an incredibly busy spot when flights have landed, just after ExCeL you have Newham Councils mega office, you have a London Uni beyond that (Forgot which one it is) so its a lot of folk heading that way at peak time as well. To add to that you get a lot of folk using the DLR to avoid South Eastern and Southern Rail messes as they will jump onto the DLR and go around as its a lot more reliable than those services Its nice and manageable however if your standing around with bag lost at peak time you will get shoved / poked to move out of the way by the regulars who just need to get moving!

Change before Canning Town can be advisable, The Beckton route is Tower Gateway <> Beckton so from Bank get ANY DLR going out from it and then step off at Shadwell and wait for the Beckton one and sit comfy for the ride to either Prince Regent or Custom House I asked my friend who is a PSA on the DLR if they are doing the shuttle service which the sometimes run for big events which is Canning Town / West Ham <> Prince Regent but he hasn't got back to me yet but I will post when I find out

From the BETT Show Plan posted in another threat it would make sense to enter from Prince Regent if you want to see us first as we are 2/3 the way along the hall by N8 doors which is closer to Prince Regent than Custom House for ExCeL..... Also its a good place to board when leaving at the EOD as its quieter so you will often get a space or even a seat on the rollercoaster!

It is sad that it is going this way but I don't believe its totally dead yet, we swapped out Blackberrys across EMEA & Asia for Windows Phone and staff have in the main been quite pleased and we have found apps for nearly everything raised as a I'd like an app for this etc.. for Business the have been good and based on cost, locked down, security and management they tick many boxes, the nearest alternative that ticks most of the boxes when we evaluated Android, iOS, New Blackberry and Win Phone was iOS but the cost of handsets was the killer for that and the fragility of them. If / when they totally end the product range I'm not sure where we will end up, Android has its own risks for business but getting better as they have started to have more business focus on them, maybe we will have to stump up the $$ for entry level iPhones but not sure Finance will like that one. I can see very much why for personal users they are struggling, several apps I have used on my personal Win Phone have stopped being updated and dropped in recent times which is sad but I am still wtih it and using it daily and not having too much pain just have to use an iPad a bit more often than in the past.

Also VERY useful when the rollercoaster is broken so you walk over to West Silvertown and get on the working line. The bridge is as featured in Silent Witness this week for anyone that watches it, the floating body was in the dock around ExCeL

Having used XenServer, Hyper V and VMware, depending on your needs Hyper V could work, however I found Citrix XenServer more polished at times and less finkity. Where I work now we are a VMware hosue and use it in large quantities and its very shiny and does amazing things but comes with eye watering cost. We use Hyper-V for some small scale stuff, its ok but certainly features isn't as good as the ones in XenServer or VMware but it can certainly be suitable for purpose.

Is the data accurate in SIMS would be my first suggestion? If its parent / student provided it could be wrong / been entered wrong as I had that many times on data checking sheets wrong email addresses, spelling etc. Many I could fish out and fix myself / flag for manual follow up with the parent before we tried to send to them.

The company I work for our SharePoint team used something from Metalogix to move from 2003 to 2010 and they were quite pleased with it, they did 2 entire separate SP systems to our main 2010 from acquired entities so if they have a tool for you it may actually be quiet decent

Microsoft just launched a new module in Office 365 this week for rotas / staff management called Microsoft StaffHub it went GA on the 12th Jan. If you have O365 for other things worth seeing if that is included in your package perhaps
