Hi All, Was just about to press the order button on a large quantity of Dell laptops (purchased through Dell Premier platform). I've selected the options for 3 year on-site warranty, and 3 year accidental damage cover. However, now I've looked into the accidental damage policy it mentions 'aged 18 or over'. But it's quite vague about what this means. See image attached. The policy holder must be 18? The business owner must be 18? The user of the laptop must be 18? Has anyone else used this cover in a school environment, and has the user of the laptop ever been questioned, or challenged? Thanks.

Anyone know of a way to pull student and staff photos from Bromcom and into a folder? Ideally fully automated on a schedule. We used to use Sims Photo Exporter from Salamander previously, but they say they don't have a version for Bromcom. I use this for a few processes in Power Automate and Power BI. Thanks.

People who have migrated, from for example, Civica to Vericool. Are you able to keep using the tills you have, or do you have to switch? We have five reasonably new tills. Were you able to still use biometrics using the same hardware? Thank you.

Has anyone got deployment of the 3CX desktop app to work without manual configuration from the user? V20 seems it has to be deployed from the Microsoft Store. This is fine, I can use InTune. There is a config file, that can be preconfigured and put in ProgramData, to configure it during install. Except this seems to do nothing, and I've not found any logs that tell me if it's even trying to use it. The XML template has a lot of settings I don't need. I don't know what I'm allowed to remove, and what has to stay in. What I really want to achieve is that the users just open 3CX, and click the SSO Microsoft button to connect. I don't want to manually configure exensions, or SIP trunks or anything else, and I don't really want to have to use 'Welcome' emails. Is this possible?

Well it's more ad-hoc really. I've just been randomly running it at different times in the day, and it varies a lot in how long it takes. Of course other users in the school may be running reports that I'm not aware of.

We are relatively new to Bromcom, and we are experiencing big ups and downs with regards to speed. For example, the Firedrill report. When Bromcom is working well, it takes about 15 seconds to generate. When it's working slowly, it can take five minutes or more, which is not acceptable for such a report that needs to be generated and printed quickly. (We are going to schedule it to export to a mailbox as a workaround). Is this normal, or do we have something unusual going on? I've made all the recommended firewall exceptions, and our internet connection is good.

Ignore that. I worked it out. Add Role Type as column, and filter it to Main Tutor. Thank you.

Thanks John, this is almost perfect, but it's producing duplicates when there is an 'additional tutor', the name in the tutor column is the main tutor, but the email, and code are the 'additional tutor'. Is there a way to filter this out? Thanks again!

Hi All, I'm quite new to Bromcom reporting, and trying to re-create some of the things I had working in Sims reports. A simplified example; I would like a report that includes: Student Admission Number Tutor Name Tutor Staff Code Tutor Email Address I can get the Tutor Name, as it's in the Student Domain, but how do I get the rest, or is it not possible? Thank you.

Our Bromcom is now up and running and I've started playing with this, trying to reproduce what I was doing with Command Reporter using the oData feed. It works nicely, but I'm finding it tricky to find some of the fields I want, for example; student email addresses. Is it just that it is a limited subset of fields available, or do you have to do something at the Bromcom end to push them out? Thanks.

I've just tested this myself by creating a new deployment profile and assigning it to a group that contains a few hybrid classroom pcs (not in autopilot). You can assign a deployment profile to any group. After about 15 mins they have all appears in the Autopilot list, so I think it does work.

I think there is a setting under the Deployment Profile to: 'Convert all targeted devices to Autopilot'. I've not used it, but I think this does what you want.

Our situation is identical to yours @gybe78 We are scheduled for March, our named contact was replaced, and we've been ignored ever since. Our data manager has sent loads of questions and not had any replies. Really concerned now about the quality of support we are likely to receive once it's up and running. Our last communicaton for them was 13th December! So two months now! Did either of you get anywhere contacting the community email? Thank you.

Are you on hosted Sims, or local Sims? It was taking 18 hours until Edulink reduced the number of years data we pull! That is on a server that is getting an 800Mbps. Edulink told us the bottleneck is the VPN to the Sims server.

Hi All, Anyone experiencing slowness and unreliability with their Sims Third Party Connector connection this week? It seems to keep going up and down, and when it does work it’s slow. Our Edulink sync (which takes about 8 hours) hasn’t completed since Thursday and it’s now causing us problem. Sims Status pages says all is good, but it always does! Thanks.

Is your CPOMS not connected via Groupcall? I think ours is. We are due to change MIS in March. We have been told that as long as Groupcall do their bit properly, CPOMS should just keep working.

Hi All, We are moving to Bromcom in March. I understand there is a direct link to PowerBI. Is it possible to access this data in Power Apps / Power Automate? At the moment I have a convoluted data route through Sims > Command Reporter > SharePoint > Power Automate > Dataverse Will Bromcom make this easier? Can I use the PowerBI link, or would I have to use the email function to email reports to Power Automate? I have a limited windows to transition systems, so want to be prepared! Thank you.
