I think it is to do with direct access as when you turn it off in connections everything starts working again.

Hi I am having a few issues with direct access. Over the summer I had a company come in and set it up. Externally everything works great but from within school staff who have access cannot get access to network drives and it looks like group policies are not applying either. Any idea on what can be causing this?

How are you deploying it with sccm? Have you converted the exe in a msi file or are there cmd switches to silent install it?

Hi I am currently looking at ditching our learning platform and using sharepoint online through office 365. My school currently uses fronter as more of a content management system than a proper lp. My only concern is the leg work of creating a site structure and assigning permissions. Is anyone using ruler connect at the moment and what are your views on the product?

Yep if you go to admin center > select groups you can select and delete the user created groups. Also you can check which users have been added to the distribution group. Only thing I cannot work out is if a student has created a group can they delete themselves afterwards to cover their tracks?

Hi over half term I migrated all student mailboxes to office365. I have just noticed that I haven't locked down creation of distribution groups, and just found that students have created a few dodgy looking ones. As an administrator is there anyway of removing them or working out who created them? Jon

I've reset the students password. Forced a sync and tried to log on externally which works.

Hi I am having an issue with a user getting access to their mail on 365. When the user tries to access their account through Internet explorer it asks to authenticate over and over. Just to go through our setup we have exchange 2013 hybrid setup with adfs. I have just started to migrate users up to 365 and out of 30 only one user was having issues getting access?

Hi The previous network manager at my school, set up a powerline adapter in the caretakers office as there is no cabling other than power to the building. The office now needs more network connections, my question is it possible to have more than one pair of powerline adapters connected or should I look at running Cat 6 cabling? Jon

Hi I have had a strange thing happen this weekend. Over the summer we had an external company setup a new exchange 2012 server to our existing 2007 on premise solution to migrate staff and students mailboxes to office 365. Last Thursday I migrated my mailbox over to 365 and everything was working great until today, when I noticed I wasn't getting any mail. Looking at my 365 admin the mailbox had disappeared. Thought it might be in the deleted mailboxes but I cannot find it anywhere?

Hi i have a new rds solution and currently looking at providing remote apps instead of a full Remote Desktop. My question is it possible to publish different apps for staff than students?

I agree with the comments above. I implemented sccm 2012r2 over the summer and so far have app deployment, scep and windows updates setup but having a few issues with capture and deployment. It's a great bit of kit but I wish I had done a course first.

Were you able to find any info on removing your hybrid config?

What about one drive. Just click on share then forward the link. I thought you could do the same with Dropbox?
