  1. Brilliant, thanks a lot!
  2. Hi, Is there a way I can export all email addresses of staff and parents to an excel file? Thanks
  3. The printers are all 64 bit. Thanks for the advice regarding 1511/1607. I have updated our image to 1607 and will update our classrooms over the break. Will report back then if it has improved things.
  4. Thanks for this but my drivers are all odd numbers already. Really losing my patience with printers now! Any other ideas?
  5. Just thought I would update. In the two weeks that have passed I have been told of about 5 crashes. Whether they are the same issue or unrelated I don't know, but it is certainly better than the half dozen or so everyday I was getting before. Thanks again.
  6. Interested in this registry fix. I am still having problems with deploying printers. My drivers are correctly signed, I have point and print disabled, tried manually installing drivers first, tried logon script, computer gpo, user gpo. I get users report that no printer has been installed whatever I do! Anything else I can try?
  7. Thanks, this is what I managed to do in the end. I've installed just the start menu in one classroom and I will see how it goes in there now. I'll let you know how I get on.
  8. Brilliant works a treat!
  9. Hi, We have the C: drive restricted but when saving in Word (and other programs I'm assuming) students can see the C:\users\%username% folder and some are saving here instead of their network drive.# How can I restrict them from saving here without affecting anything else? Thanks.
  10. Joanne - That link will bring the drive back but it doesn't stop the problem from happening in the first place unfortunately. mullet_man - Thanks, I had a look but I already have the correct permissions on the share.
  11. Will give that a try, thank you.
  12. Just the same as any other but when you go into the offline files list, the network drive is listed there. All the options for staff to make it available offline are disabled and I've not told it to in the policy like I have with the U: drive.
  13. Whilst I would normally be happy to blame it on the teachers, there is no option for them to have accidentally clicked and I have witnessed it happen myself when using one of the laptops. It is also happening to quite a few people now. Thanks
  14. Hi, I'm having a recurring problem with some staff laptops where a mapped network drive keeps appearing as working offline even when it is connected to the network. On the properties of the drive it says CSC-CACHE. What is strange is that this drive isn't even set to work offline, only the U: (home drive) is specified in the GPO and should be available offline. Any ideas? Thanks.
  15. Is there an easy way I can remove all the other parts and just leave the Classic Start Menu as I have this on around 600 machines?
  16. Thanks guys, I will give this a go.
  17. Yes I have all of Classic Shell. Should I not?
  18. Hi, I've been using Classic Shell for our Start Menu and I really like it but it is just becoming too unreliable with the constant freezing of explorer. What are people using if not the Classic Shell? Any further ideas as to why this crashes? I've tried the suggested fixes in the Classic Shell thread. Thanks
  19. Not every time no, but enough times to be annoying. I have given them something similar but they still moan and don't want to do it! Not sure which version, I'll have to check but I know it hasn't been updated in a while.
  20. We use Papercut here and it is run on logon to copy the file locally and run the client from there. It runs and has been running for years with no problems on Windows 7 but it just keeps closing itself on Windows 10 machines and staff are having to log off and on in order to print. Has anyone else experienced this or know of any reason why it would happen? Thanks.
  21. I removed it and created it again exactly the same and it is working! Very strange, thanks.
  22. Hi, I'm not sure where the issue with this lies exactly but the only software we receive this error in is FMS when someone tries to send an external email. It works fine in Windows 7 ever since I set up the Receive Connector in exchange correctly however the problem occurs in Windows 10. We are using Exchange 2010 if that helps. Any ideas? Thanks
  23. They all are 2012 apart from the print server for some reason! I guess I will move this to 2012 over half term. Thanks for the help.
  24. It is a 2003 server yes. I have however been receiving the prompt to install the driver since installing the update despite having my point and print restrictions set to to disabled.
  25. Yeah. Here we are.
