Jokes aside. is this designed to be a joke or a serious bot? If it's a joke, this is my April fools sorted. -

Do we need to keep students documents once they've left?
fairm010 replied to Colindean2000's topic in How do you do....it?
Kept permanently on separate archive HDD's. -
Haha.. I'm not even going into this.
-
That's just stupid.

This is another of those threads where the first thing I'd check is your line in strong enough to cope with the constant upload / download of files from the internet. I have a steady stream of around 10Mbps in / out from our file servers, I'd hate that to be constant on our net connection. Also what if it goes down?

That is not the main argument at all. I have been using Windows for the last 15 years, I'd like to experience what OSX / Mac has to offer as I've had a nice experience with it at work. I am in no way an Apple fanboy, I'm just curious to try it. If I don't like it, I already have a buyer for the Air.

We archive them off to an external HDD until that data is overwritten when the space is needed for the next few years leavers. -
No me either to be honest but the chap selling it seemed really genuine and in our messages back and forth has been very helpful and polite. Should be here by Friday!

100% all these rules have been created on our firewall and we still have this issue.

Have you named the bot? I shall name it Geoff. -

Please for the love of god, share this if and when it's complete. It would be so funny (I mean useful) to have this running here. -
Get yourself on eBay sir!
-
Compared to paying £900 for a new one it isn't bad for my needs at the moment. If it turns out to be a steaming pile of excrement I'll sell it on.
-
Not a bad shout! Bookmarked, cheers!

This is only for personal use so network management will fall to my desktop in the office or my school laptop. Also All my storage is on my NAS at home.

I was seriously apprehensive about buying a new one, tempting as Dave's prices were!

Well I took @Joannes 's advice and popped onto eBay. And just won a Macbook Air! For £340, cheaper than most laptops on the market these days. Look mint too. Will update when it arrives.
