  1. Now that's going to be a problem as we do not have the paid version of Acrobat.
  2. So the first SAR or at least the first I'm involved in has come through. The HT asked if I could help so using Microsoft Purview I exported the emails into a .pst and after removing any unneeded emails I'm left with just under 600. The HT wants them printing so using Outlook I did a few test prints but my name is at the top of every print in big bold letters and it doesn't show the sender so it looks as if I sent the email. Is Outlook the software to use or would something else be better? Thanks.
  3. Thanks. Never heard of Google Takeout before but worth a try and looks easier than downloading photos on mass.
  4. My wife has been using an android mobile with a Google basic 100GB plan (£1.59 per month). Now she has a iPhone and as I already had a 50GB plan I shared it with her. I pay £0.99 per month but 50GB is plenty for us. We want to stop the Google plan but first I need to transfer the photos from Google to Apple. What’s the easiest way to achieve this?
  5. Thought there might have been a way to do this from the admin console but I’ll try the app. Thanks.
  6. Some staff WFH and would like their calls redirected to their mobiles or home phone. How would this be achieved using 3CX? Thanks.
  7. Reading thought the guides Parent Pay sent, they want a number of .exe white listing through the firewall so can be downloaded as and when required but I'm having trouble seeing what domains need white listing. This is the guide they gave me https://docs.beyondtrust.com/rs/docs/on-prem-network#ports-and-firewalls We have a standard setup using the Sophos XG so port 80 and 443 are already open outbound but downloading .exe, .msi etc are blocked unless the domain is whitelisted.
  8. Has this fiasco been resolved as we've had the email to move over to FMS Connected?
  9. Synology. It was setup before I took over from the MSP and was one of the services that has been kept.
  10. Interesting to note that the MSP here charges £225 pa for the 365 backup. Primary with less that 100 mailboxes.
  11. Does any schools use Atom Learning? We are a primary and the head would like this setting-up ready for September. When I first looked it appears to be made for parents to sign up but looking more in depth Atom Learning can be linked to Wonde so it pulls the students data across. So, has anyone used it and is there anything to watch out for? https://www.atomlearning.com/sats
  12. Very true, you do need to know what you're doing to get the best out of the camera although a lot of photos the camera can be left on auto but the skill comes in when you need depth of field adjustments.
  13. I bought my my old Canon 400 in last week and tested how it performs both indoors and out and was impressed how good the photos were when compared to a phone or iPad. Yes it's an old DSLR and looking on Ebay the body sells for just £50 but the photos show there is little grain when zooming in and coupled with a good flash gun the hall took bright photos even when standing at the back. I was using a 50-200mm lens for that one. I understand the concerns about buying outdated kit but for the cost of a few boxes of paper we could buy a used camera that would take great photos.
  14. Any idea what might be causing the AD option to be missing is SOLUS3 when I try to add a new target? If I leave SOLUS3 sitting on this screen for 20 minutes the AD option will appear on it's own.
  15. The HT looks after the website so had a quick look and following the guidelines would mean 3/4 of the photos would be removed. This is the same old advice just reworded to take into account AI and I always think how many parents who reject having photos of their children on on the school website would jump at the chance of having the same photo in the local rag.
  16. This school is a primary so not that big but all teachers use an iPad for their day-to-day photos but I get a feeling a DSLR with proper flash would be so much better for website photos. I have an old DSLR at home I've not used in 10 years so I intend to dig that out and if the battery still holds a charge I'll try that in the hall which would be the acid test with it's poor lighting.
  17. As title really. What are schools using to take photos and videos as we are looking to buy a camera that will mainly used by myself, the HT and a handful of staff? The camera will be for photos and videos of around the school that will be used on displays and for the school website/signage. Our hall is not very bright so the camera must be good in low light.

    SIMS.net

We are on prem so have the database right here. Is there a command we can run to copy the data or is it the database is protected and needs ESS to export the data into a fresh database?

    SIMS.net

What is the easiest way to export years of data from SIMS?
  20. Thanks, you make it sound like like it's not as bad as I thought but why is summer not the best time to move?
  21. It looks like we are moving from SIMS to Arbor over the summer holiday and wondered if someone could give me a few pointers on the best way forward? Thanks.
  22. We use uk time but anyway the logging would use local time and not the connecting device time. The IP address was an internal address not a public address
  23. Thanks good advice but before I start pointing the finger I need a more accurate time of when the data was changed. The office manager’s account was a red herring and I say that because the time given for that logon was around 6 hours after the ‘hack’ was spotted so I would like earlier data from the logs as no point giving me logon data after the event has taken place.
