I'm at a primary and the suite was refitted in 2020 with 32 new PCs but they are still plenty fast enough. We also have 47 pupil laptops stored in trolleys and 60 iPads but having the suite makes it so much better for teaching. There was a time when the suite was removed but the new head who was a teacher when it was removed reinstated it the first summer he was made head as he saw the value of having it.

But in using WSUS I approve the updates first so I have complete control on what gets installed.
-
We currently use WSUS for updates and I was wondering what other schools who use WSUS how they install updates. At the moment we have the servers WSUS GP settings set to Configure Automatic Updates: 2 Notify for download and auto install Enable client-side targeting: Servers No auto-restart with logged on users for scheduled automatic updates installations: Enabled Specify intranet Microsoft update service location: http://:8530 This means I need each month to install updates but what I want is to have each server install and restart automatically overnight but not all at the same time. What settings would I need to achieve this please?

Thanks everyone. I looked at WinFF but I couldn't see a way to delete the original file after conversion so think I'm going to write a script to work with Handbreak as there's a command line version of Handbreak called HandbreakCLI that looks promising.

Primary school. We have a mapped drive that staff use to share lesson resources and it's been growing steady for some time, so I've been looking at what has been saved and I'm surprised to say there are 2k .mov files adding up to 53GB and we have only had the iPads for less than 2 years. I've used Handbreak on the odd file and they convert to .mp4 nicely at a fraction of the size but of course I don't fancy going through all the files. Has anyone found a way to automate the conversion process and delete the original .mov after conversion?

What version are you using? -
No as I thought I needed to get the keys from 365 first but which is why I was struggling. Thanks for the link and after reading through I think I understand now. I'll add the records to DNS next and enable DKIM tomorrow.
-
So I'm setting up DKIM on 365 by following this https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/security/office-365-security/email-authentication-dkim-configure?view=o365-worldwide but when I click our domain I don't see anyway to create the DKIM keys, all I see is an enable / disable slider. On the onmicrosoft.com domain DKIM is already enabled with the said slider plus a rotate DKIM key button is available. How do I get the DKIM keys when I don't see any popups?
-
So as title really. We use 365 for email and had this warning appear today. We are only using spf as never got round to setting up dkim or dmarc. Does the warning mean spam is being sent to appear coming from our domain and would configuring dkim or dmarc stop the warning? The spf we are using is v=spf1 include:spf.protection.outlook.com ~all Thanks in advance.

May not be relevant with the fix @snagrat posted but I'm using the same version of MDT I started using with win10 and I added the script when I got the same error. I've left the script in place and it still works with win11. It's an old video but it works.
-
There’s a fix for that something like running a script part way through the task and had it myself with MDT. I’ll dig it out tomorrow.

We run a scheduled task to export the DB before the backup runs.

This happened to us over the summer. I had my two weeks off at the beginning of the holidays then came back to find a projector had been on freeze for two weeks.

Is there an easy way to check our readers before I buy the milfare cards?
-
We have already bought the cards now but good to know for any replacements in the future as the milfare are a quarter of the price.
-
Yes we used to use plain cards and fobs then a governor said it would be much neater to use Net2 cards instead and that was the end of fobs. I've still got a bag of fobs that I use for supply teachers and contractors who seem to leave site without handing them back.
-
That's a great idea but tried fitting a blank card into the same holder and it didn't fit in the rigid holders we have.
-
We are using the Net2 system and have always bought the printable Paxton cards and they print fine with no problem watsoever. Now as the school logo has changed the head wants all new cards printing which is expensive so I've been looking for alternative cards that would still work with Net2. I have found a card by Ecopass https://www.digitalid.co.uk/product/ecopass-692-500-cards-3467 that seems to do the job but wanted to see if anyone has had problems with them. For comparison the Net2 cards are here https://www.digitalid.co.uk/product/paxton-692-500-net2-proximity-iso-cards-115?cat=4310 Thanks.

Parentmail have rolled out the fix and after restarting the PArentmail service syncing is working normally again.
-
No still not working but was told other schools are affected so glad it wasn’t anything to do with the upgrades I did over summer. Parentmail tried a fix with the software their end but that didn’t solve it.

This from the log.
