  1. Some schools using https://apply.cloudforedu.org.uk/, some City Councils seem to directly provide a checker, e.g. https://myaccount.coventry.gov.uk/service/Free_school_meals_and_extra_pupil_premium_funds_for_schools, but the updates aren't as good as cloudforedu.
  2. Microsoft Power Toys can pin any window on top (Win+Ctrl+T) https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/powertoys/always-on-top With a suitable clock app. or You could use that with "Crop and Lock" https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/powertoys/crop-and-lock To create a floating pinned webpage timer (e.g. https://www.online-stopwatch.com/countdown-clock/full-screen/)
  3. Property Table have an ALLUSERS property that can be set to 1?
  4. Quite like this guide too : https://www.schudio.com/school-website-requirements/ , can be a bit spamy with emails. Used to use thekey's checklist, but not so much now. We try to keep policies to a minimum, but it isn't always easy to determine which to publish -especially when policies refer to each other.
  5. USB blocking? https://doc.sophos.com/central/customer/help/en-us/ManageYourProducts/EndpointProtection/ConfigureDeviceControl/index.html#peripheral-exemptions
  6. Worth seeing if you can sign up to Libby. Just checked and Amateur Photographer is free with Birmingham Libraries access.
  7. I would probably just spin you a Ubuntu VM on Hyper-V and add pihole to that if you are worried longevity. The DNS forwards order thing might be some confusion between forwards and "Primary/Secondary" DNS servers. Certainly Primary and Secondary DNS doesn't repect "order/fail over" quite like you'd imagine.
  8. I imagine the restore menu isn't available as the new installation of Veeam isn't setup. For my testing I typically just use the "live" version of the install to restore the backups. If you wish to test a complete disaster the easiest way might be to back up the live Veeam configuration database (should schedule this anyhow) and restore it to the second server. (https://helpcenter.veeam.com/archive/backup/95u4/vsphere/vbr_config_restore.html) Otherwise to "see" the backups (and restore) you pretty much have to setup Veeam again and import your existing repository by hand.

    Ear buds

If you want cheap, something like this? https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0BTYCRJSS (£15) I got the Pixel Buds Pro Free with my Pixel 7, they are ok, I think for a similar cost my Sony Linkbuds S fit in my ear better. (£140 ish) If you want to spend more the Sony WF-1000XM5 are probably the best around (£220 ish) Without some kind of price point difficult.
  10. Always called them tbh.
  11. My Policy arrived 05/12.
  12. Gonna be honest. I wouldn't even bother powering it. Certainly can't remember the last time I saw a disc being used.
  13. This potentially sounds like an MIS agnostic data extractor would be better, e.g. something like Wonde. Certainly if you are trying to market this to multiple schools.
  14. The important thing would be to work out what they intend to do with them and what software/apps they intend to use. This in part will determine which to purchase.
  15. No likely candidates in the property table?
  16. I would say £299 is a fair price, you could get it for £294 from Curry's a few days ago. So if you aren't in a rush it might be worth waiting. (I got a ridiculous deal when I bought mine, there was one day at Currys when they had it "on sale" for £499 and you could trade in pretty much any phone for £175. They price matched Amazon at the time to £429. Then I applied 6% discount with Sodexo vouchers and then Google had a offer for Free Pixel Buds Pro (worth about £150).
  17. Have you installed (and made sure it is up to date) the App installer - https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/app-installer/9NBLGGH4NNS1?hl=en-US&gl=US Once this was installed I was finally able to install new teams.

  20. Budget? Plan to backup Office 365? - Worth ensuring its on this list: https://www.synology.com/en-uk/dsm/packages/ActiveBackup-Office365
  21. If we did that here I could guarantee that the power station would go walkies within a week.
