That weird... I just signed out and tried again and it asks me to sign in to view it :S That's a shame - had a couple of schools hit, and although we were able to restore our backups with no issues, this could have been / could be helpful.

So as per the title, I'm interested to know what antivirus everyone are currently using on their home PCs? I'm a long time user of Avast, but have found it's causing my system to be quite slow to boot as of late, which is a shame as it's always been really good at keeping anything nasty at bay without hogging any system resources. So I'm looking at changing but never been a fan of anything else... Recommendations?

AFAIK, a new HDD is the only way forward yes.

Wow - they are cheap... Shame they're used maliciously, probably not worth the effort of trying. May have to give OVH a try from people's reviews however.

I might be wrong but I was under the impression you can't "crack" a HDD password? It's no help now, but I'd advise getting BIOS passwords set across all machines to prevent it happening again

As @snagrat has mentioned, it's the subject etc showing on the wrong emails - I should probably have chosen a better example... I'll give the graphics a try when I'm next there. Not 100% that'll be it as they're across different models but I'm happy to try anything anyone can suggest at this moment.

Do you have experience with OVH @ZeroHour? I was looking at their new VPS range the other day but read some bad things (however there's not much good to read about most host providers online).

I've got a VPS with https://www.unlimitedwebhosting.co.uk/ and would 100% recommend - they're a bit pricey in comparison to some companies, however their support really is second to none (IME) which for me I'm happy to pay the extra to know their support is ready if ever needed - I've needed them a few times but purely down to my own inexperience with CentOS. They also offer dedicated servers, but I think one of their VPS or "Hybrid servers" would do you fine.

OK, so I've been having a problem at one of my schools since September last year, in which if users are logged into Office 365 for a long period of time (so mainly affect admin staff), their emails start displaying jumbled. A bit hard to explain, but basically if they've got three emails in their inbox / a child folder below, One from John, one from Mike and one from Sally - Johns email might show fine, but the subject and one line preview of the email shown in the messages pane for Mike and Sally's email might be mixed up (when they open the email however, the email shows fine.). Obviously not a huge problem, but when you're replying to an earlier message, and see the subject, it's actually the wrong person they're replying to and the wrong subject. Not the end of the world but could cause problems. I can't for the life of me figure out the problem. We're running Win 7 Pro and get the issue in both Internet Explorer and Chrome. Some users are filtered some aren't and that makes no difference. It only happens in school so I assume some form of GPO (however GP is from the same template used across most of my sites and only one has this issue). I've reported it to MS Office 365 support team who have remoted in and run all sorts of tests and they can't see an issue so have escalated it to the IE core team who just aren't responding to my emails or the 365 support tech's emails (we've emailed their support desk and the managers of the support team) so I'm at a complete loss. Has any experienced this / got any thoughts? Cheers for getting back to me mate. I get to the load screen, and it just goes to Not Responding and then closes. Weirdly, I've just reinstalled it and it's now working on my Win10. I've tried everything over the past couple of months as well! Cheers mate

@timbo343 - Did you manage to get Generals / Zero Hour working on this? I failed miserably on my Win10 machine but read a lot of people were having issues Win7+... Stuck it on an XP VM and still no luck - was hoping you'd have an idea as Google has failed me :/ Cheers

Checkout WalkTall as per my first post - they do up to 17.5 UK, and have a fairly decent selection considering. Jacamo as you say do only have a limited selection over a 13, but he might be OK being a 13. A few others I've used in the past: Big Foot Shoes - I believe these also had an ebay shop at one point, but it may have been a company with a similar name. Had some good deals on end of line stock on there. @Steve21 - They also have a decent size 16 selection. John Banks Big and Tall High and Mighty - Owned by the same people as Jacamo, tend to have a better selection of Smart Wear however. I'm also a 36' leg, and find Jacamo / High and Mighty to be great for work trousers etc if anyone has that issue too.

Yes! I'm a size 15 and went through a similar struggle for a while, but now I find the biggest struggle is simply finding a style that I actually like - checkout Jacamo or WalkTall. You'll pay a bit more for a pair, but they'll usually last longer. Both their own-branded items are actually pretty decent too, if you're ever just after something cheapish pair for work or whatever.

OK, so I swapped the 2GB and the 4GB module around and the device still only saw 4GB. Which as people have said would then suggest either a faulty RAM module or system limitation. I have swapped the 2GB module for another (same spec, different brand) and my laptop now sees 6GB bizarrely though, I have put the 2GB module that my laptop wouldn't detect into another laptop and it's working fine...

Nope - checked that.... Does Memtest support more than 4GB? I tried running that from Hirens but it gave an error about only supporting the first 4GB even though it had detected more than 4GB. Just gonna try another stick of RAM in a minute as the one I had at home wasn't the correct RAM, and I've got a Linux distro downloading.

On board with shared memory, but only uses 1GB apparently... Plus when I had just the 4GB in there it showed as 4GB. It is - that was my first though - thought I'd installed the wrong version by mistake Not had a chance to check tonight, just got in so will have to look tomorrow. I'm suspecting H/W failure of some sort though

Not got a bootable Linux with me - must be at home so will try when I get back soon. However Windows Memory Test (an old CD version I have) sees it as "exceeding 4GB" - but can only handle 4GB so won't tell me how much. Seems all my testing tools I've got with me today are 32bit so are limited... Will look into it a bit more when I get home.

Never thought of that - good idea... Will try that next. They're not the same spec, but only difference is one of the sticks has a slower speed than the other... Generally speaking, it'll still work just at the slowest speed. The BIOS update has done nothing as expected. Will try Ubuntu next
