Hi all, We have a room of old RM Ascend 2020 & 2030 machines (don't laugh) these need re-imaging. I have done this before but for some reason this time I am getting a: DISK (0) WAS NOT FOUND UNABLE TO CONTINUE POSSIBLE CAUSE: MISSING STORAGE DRIVER I use WDS and MDT to image machines. I have gone on to another 2020 machine that I haven't tried to re-image yet , extracted the drivers and put them into MDT, updated the image, but I am still getting the same problem. Has anyone had the same problem? How did you get past it? I know these PCs need replacing but budgets will not allow it at the moment, so I really need to re-image them. Many thanks Sean

Hi all, As part of the intranet staff site that I am building I would like to put SIMS student progress data on there, a chart that displays which students are going to exceed expectations, meet expectations or not meet expectations in all subjects but especially the core subjects. I want this on here to be readily available to staff and immediate visual without having to trawl through SIMS. I am sure people have done something like this before, can anyone give me any advice or any how to's? Would be extremely grateful. Many thanks

Thanks I have used Password Control before and do use it for bulk resets, but I would prefer to have something web-based if possible as I am putting together a staff toolbox via the intranet including a phone directory etc.

I am looking for some web-based software that links to AD that I can direct staff to so that they can reset students passwords rather than keep sending them up to us? We get about 5 or 6 a day. Any ideas? Cheers

No we don't have any VLANs. Don't set a default gateway on the PC or the switch?

I am setting up a Computer Science Lab with 19 standalone PCs. The room will have its own server and network, the computers will be unsecures so they will have access to control panel etc. They will have python and scratch installed on the PCs, but I do want the students to have access to the internet. How can i do this without them also having access to other parts of the curriculum network? Many thanks Sean

I have noticed, I feel your pain mate. Thursday I desperately needed to contact them and their support site and phones were down, not good with the amount their support costs.

This wont be staff usage, it will be student use.

Hi all, I am currently building a new image for the school and I am checking with staff what software they want on there. Software that I can't see them still using on the current image, they claim gets used all the time, so I would like to find a piece of software (free if poss or trial) that I can run over a period of time and show me the amount of use a piece of software gets. Hi all, I have set-up redirected start menus on a test machine, but I am having a problem where the redirected start menu is merging with the redirected one instead of replacing it. I have set-up User Group Policy loopback processing mode to Replace, but I am still having the issue. Can anyone help with this? When I setup the fresh image for the PCs should I remove all start menu shortcuts? Below is my GPO for the start menu. Hello all, Hope everyone had a good Easter. Since moving our admin and curriculum to one domain, admin are having a problem that now and again their printers will disappear and it will not let them add a new one. If they logout then re-login the printer will be back and working fine. The servers are running Server 2008r2 and the PCs are Window 7. The GPOs are the same over admin and curriculum just in different OU's. The printers are added via GPO -> User Configuration -> Preferences -> Control Panel Settings -> Printers The printers are set on replace and as I was previously have issues with printers following people I also have a delete all policy. The add printer is 2 and the delete is 1 in the running order. Any ideas why the printers are disappearing will be a great help.

Hi, I have used the SWGFL ESi and have given all the ports and IP Addresses that I wanted unblocked to SWGFL, but it is still not working. Anyone managed to get this working through SWGFL? Thanks

Hello, We have 26 Android tablets that I am trying to link with the Meraki System Manager. We are a SWGFL Academy, but cannot get this to work, I have used the Meraki common service with the SWGFL esi and worked with a SWGFL engineer all to no avail. I havent contacted Meraki for help but have yet to hear anything back. Has anyone got this working on SWGFL? How did you accomplish this? When I try to enrol a device I either get 'Enrol failed' or 'Cannot communicate with server'. SWGFL say that they have enable port 80 to allow traffic through. Many thanks in advance Sean

Hi Nick, Just to let you know that I have fixed this issue, it seemed to be caused by IIS. So I uninstalled IIS and all its dependencies via roles and features in Server Manager, uninstalled .net framework then reinstalled it back on again, reinstalled HAP and it is all working now. We have had an RDP SIMS app created which works fine on the server, but when I run it on a staff laptop I get the following error: Incorrect \\admin-Server\drive_s\SIMS\connect.ini file : System.Exception Fault Code : 3878-4394-6000 Anyone know what is causing this? Many thanks
