When it give me choices what I want to enable, e.g. stop malware, dangerous websites, etc. I select them then click save, then the whole network crashes. I get serious complaints from my family. I want to setup the network as: Plusnet Router ------> Sophos XG ------> Switch -------> Wifi i wired Devices At the moment I have a cable going from the router directly to the switch until I had Sophos setup properly. But when I click save everything goes down. Cheers

Hi all, We currently use ABTutor for classroom management and Keyword monitoring. We are using the old v7 which I believe does not support Windows 10, which are are currently working towards moving up to. The upgrade cost to V9 is not alot but before I do and due to finances in schools, was wondering if there are any Open Source software for keyword monitoring out there? I know of Veyon for Classroom management, so will be looking at that. Cheers

Hi, thanks for your response. Our fibre connection is Plunet 30/10 with an Plusnet fibre router? With your dedicated box how does it do the wireless? Do you have a separate WAP? My kids are 6 & 9 not very tech savvy, though the 1 year old is starting to show some aptitude lol. I would prefer to use a physical box, but concerned about the extra electric cost as it would be on all the time, along with the NAS. Though I have just got rid of 2 high powered gaming machines that were used alot by the kids for streaming and have got them laptops, so can't be more than that.

Thanks, I dont mind paying the $50 a year for the homepro Untangle to be honest. I just want something with virus protection, web filtering per user of device, adblocker etc. In one place. I have looked at Sophos UTM as a number of my schools use it. But I don't find it that user friendly and need something that my wife could find her way round if needed. Hi all, I want to install a filtering, firewall, adblocker and AV solution for home. I want to be able to setup seperate filtering for the 3 kids and my wife and I. I was looking at Untangle as looks polished setup and would be easy for my wife to use if she needed to. I don't want another PC running due to costs, so would like to set this up as a VM on my media PC. What are people's thoughts? I know of PFSense (played with it a little) and Sophos (use it at school), but not sure how they would be as setup in a home. This is my media PC, I have just brought 8GB ram for it. Just don't want to experience any bottlenecking on it. Can buy a couple of intel NICs if needed. Cheers

Hi all, I have a staff member with a laptop that she says is just turning itself off. I am going to have a look but wanted to know if anyone could recommend a stress test software so that I can put the laptop through its paces? This staff member is always complaining about her laptops the one she has worked for a former member of staff without issue (I checked), so want to put it too bed with a proper workout. Cheers

At last!!!!!! Progress made, looking at Applocker in event viewer found it also blocks DLL files in the Appdata\local\.......onedrive folder. Need to add this to the DLL rules in Applocker.

Found in event viewer this file is still being blocked. %OSDRIVE%\USERS\STAFFTEST\APPDATA\LOCAL\MICROSOFT\ONEDRIVE\17.3.6816.0313\FILESYNCCONFIG.EXE Added that to Applocker, still being blocked.

Hi all, Tried the path suggested still no luck. I get a message up saying the "administrator has blocked the program". Here are the Applocker rules in place: Also I had to take the test PC off the domain to install the latest OneDrive client. When I try to install the client on the domain I get an error: FileSyncConfig.exe "The application was unable to start correctly (0x0000364). Click OK to close the application.

Because where would be the fun if everything was simple.

Right, I blocked inheritance to the test PC and have slowly been adding the GPOs back to it. It seems to be Applocker that is blocking OneDrive. I have a Path rule in their %OSDRIVE%\Users\*\AppData\Local\Microsoft\OneDrive but this doesn't seem to be working.

Ah right. I am on a new network built last year, but was built by an outside organisation, so not sure if anything is there.

Hi Katy, Did you ever get this running? Or has anyone else? I am trying to get OneDrive on demand running, but can't even get OneDrive to run at the moment. When the PC joins the domain it won't run, outside fine. Have set the GPO to disable for the "Prevent OneDrive being used for file storage" and added the %localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive to Applocker, but still when I click on OneDrive I get nothing. I only had a look Friday but try to deploy via SCCM but nothing was happening. I am back at the school Wednesday, I tried with the command line that Autocad provided within the application creation in SCCM and I tried with a batch file with the command line in. I think I need to try the command line locally on a PC. Sorry.

Hi all, I have a Raspberry Pi that I have never done anything with, so would love to put it to good use. I have heard about Pi-Hole so would like to set this up, but I have a ExpressVPN subscription. So would like to the Pi with Pi-Hole with ExpressVPN, is this possible? How could I do it? Cheers
