  1. We’re looking at streamyard broadcasting to YouTube. Looks good so far but haven’t actually run and event as such.
  2. We use the same address for all IT related requests.
  3. We took a trail of foldr and does what your after. Took less than a hour to setup and get working. One issue we had was resolved quickly.
  4. Our iPads are managed via Apple configurator. We created a separate ssid and used smoothwall radius to rather than windows nps. All iPads use the same username/password. We used smoothwall as the deceives wasn’t one to one so used the ssl login page. We also created our internal/guest on the iPads with rubbish details so they couldn’t connect. Hopefully some of this may be useful. Regards Rob.
  5. We've was an early adopter of Edulink One we migrated from the Moodle variant. Our Staff/Students & parents feedback is always positive. We've saved a load of cash by ditching a whole load of products. The best thing is at Overnet they develop the product. We fairly often request a features/modifications. Best 2k we've spent. We're just waiting/hoping a payment integration comes soon. Rob
  6. With the help of exa & smoothwall we hid our ip external ip from what’s our up etc which nipped our students in the bud after suffering numerous stress tests. Thanks for the update.
  7. We used cloudfare when our site was being attacked.
  8. Another for wisesoft bulk ad. Export users to excel update done.
  9. Were another long term customer of Overnet Data. We’ve worked with them for a long time and managed to nudge them in directions as far as improvements and feature requests. Not many products/companies I’d recommend but this is one of them. Our parents staff and students alike use edulink and are very happy with it. We’ve asked for a number of features that are in dev and unlike some companies this does get done.
  10. We tested blizz (https://www.blizz.com/en/) made by teamviewer in prep for some students in September. Student seemed happy
  11. Delprof2 was a shutdown script.
  12. We’ve got both setup on same domain. Set up ages ago think we used a text record on 365
  13. We pay 2k a year. Saved us more than that in 3rd party products.
  14. Can that be set per user group? Rather have a play on a few users first. Just wondering how that would effect vault.
  15. With Office 365 adding it as a feature It won't be long before gmail catches up. They have self-destruct option coming soon! Google's Gmail gets self-destruct option ahead of GDPR - BBC News
  16. Edulink one by overnet. Our staff love it. Has loads of useful stuff on it. Online demo here https://www.edulinkone.com/#!/login
  17. Never used this but looked interesting. For students. https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/6386856
  18. Dozen emails later I have the following. Since your latest email, I've been in discussion with our Logistics team about this matter. They have confirmed that for this year, as in previous years, we expect recordings to be unencrypted and to include the candidate name and number. The accompanying insert card (CDs) or USB label/tag would also include the candidate name and number (as per our example in the Instructions '0041 John Smith'). The attendance list should likewise be sent with the recording. However, our Logistics team has agreed that you may send an encrypted recording provided that BitLocker encryption is used. Should you do this, please await further guidance on how to send the password. Common sense has prevailed. Thanks for all your replies and comments. Appreciated. Regards Rob
  19. Just spoken to the teacher. Who says "We have to identify them by full name & candidate number in the recording" which would make it personal data? I've emailed the exam board in question to clarify this is the case. Will keep you posted.
  20. Students give name at the start of the audio file along with candidate number.
  21. Got the following reply. Hello Rob “”Thank you for your reply. We cannot accept encrypted USB drives. The examiners are trained under the latest GDPR guidelines ensuring the confidentiality of the materials they receive. If you have any further questions, please let me know.”” So we are supposed to send these how?
  22. I must admit I just assumed the candidate would introduce themselves which I assume would make it personal. Thanks for the replies so far. I'm waiting on a reply.
  23. Each student’s recording must be saved as an mp3 file. • All recordings must be transferred either to a memory stick or to a CD. • The filename must contain the component code, centre number and candidate number, eg. 8698SF_55217_0041.mp3. • In addition, the centre number and component code should be written on a CD with an indelible pen. Do not use a sticky label. Similarly a memory stick must have a tag attached. • As soon as all the tests are completed for the centre, the memory sticks/CDs must be sent to the AQA examiner together with the Attendance List. This must be done within one working day of the last date of the fiveweek period at the latest. • You are advised to keep a copy of the recording in case of loss in the post or damage to memory stick/CD in transit. Ensure the memory stick/CD is packaged carefully, using bubble wrap or padding. How would you tackle this? I've emailed to see if they have secure upload area or if they will be able to handle it encrypted. Thoughts?
  24. Ours is built in feature of edulink. Made a massive difference.
  25. We’ve been with exa a number of years. Support is first class when you need it. No real problems.
