Hi, has anyone come across this issue? I am trying to migrate a file share to Office 365 sharepoint site and consistently getting this error : System.Net.WebException: The remote server returned an error: (401) Unauthorized. at System.Net.HttpWebRequest.GetResponse() at Microsoft.SharePoint.Client.SPWebRequestExecutor.Execute() at Microsoft.SharePoint.Client.Web.WebUrlFromFolderUrlDirect(ClientContext context, Uri folderFullUrl) at Microsoft.Office.Compliance.Ingestion.SharePointIngestionProvider.Invoke(IIngestionTask& task). Hi, I am having a really nightmare with some Acer Tablets. These are Acer Switch Tablets (Win 8.1 Pro - 32 bit, Atom 1.33, 2 Gb RAM). When I have a fresh build of windows 8.1 and target tracker installed it opens up in around 20 seconds. When we then proceed to install Office 2013 and then load TT - over 2minutes to load!. I have then tried removing Office and trying TT again, still 2 minutes. Any one have any ideas???

Thanks Wagnerk, but still an issue, followed the steps. Even uninstall GPMC and Re-installed GPMC but no change

Hi, has anyone come across the issue of backing up a group policy from GPMC? The error i am recieving is that i am using an incorrect user name and password??? But i am a domain admin account, the permissions look all ok. I have also tried it via Powershell with no success.

Good morning fellow techs, I have a problem i hope you can help me with. I am currently updating a school server from 2003 R2 to 2008 R2. The staff laptops all redirect their my documents to the server in a location such as \\servername\users$\ on the old server. I have migrated the documents to the new server which will redirect to \\servername\staff$\%username%\Documents. On the clients we take them off the domain, rename the old profile to __OldUsername, we then join the new domain, login as the users. All seems to work well. We then reboot, login as the administrator, copy the __OldUsername profile over the top of new user profile. This includes the ntuser.dat. We reboot and everything seems to be ok accept for the folder redirection. I take the profile back to the old location, which i is held in the old ntuser.bat. I have tried editing the ntuser.dat but is like a minefield. Does anyone have any ideas of how to get around this issue? Thanks

Hi, tried with no service packs and still issues. Dont know if its anything to do with the physical server. Works fine on older servers.

I have DHCP enabled on the server. I have tried unticking and ticking the box regarding those ports when trying to set up the server and no difference is made. With regards to the other 2 port types, there is nothing I am aware.

Hi All, I dont how many of you use WDS but I am having huge difficulty setting it up. I have installed Server 2008 R2, done all the lastest windows updates, and it still fails to install. The server is a dell R710 with 4 Broadcom nics, I have 2 partitions, 1 for the system and one for the images. DHCP and DNS are running on the server. It is also a domain controller. I have followed steps and install WAIK. Once I have select WDS, it installs all ok. I then go to configure the server and it responds saying that the service failed to respond in an untimely fashion??...... I have installed it ok on a older server and on a virtual the same way, this is now starting to cause me issues . Any help is much appreciated!

Hello, Got a strange one, i dont know if anyone has come across this before. I had a couple of laptops, clean builds, put them on a Server 2003 domain. They where windows XP SP3 with IE8. Logged onto the domain, rebooted and logged in as a user. Everytime I login as a new user I recieve the following error : "A Program on your computer has corrupted your default search provider setting for Internet Explorer." You then click on "OK", it opens up the Manage-Add ons windows, you click ok and never returns for that particular user on that particular machine" I have tried all the fixes on google with adding a registry key, which already exists, and setting a GPO to stop the change to the search provider with no joy.

I need it to be automated as the desktop.ini is likely to be replaced everytime a machine sync's there offline files.

Yer basically.. I want the desktop.ini in the users folders to not be read by the administrator. IE Server 2008 and Win7 on folder redirection renames \\server\users$\Bob to \\server\users$\Documents. One of microsofts solutions is to remove read attribute on desktop.ini to the administrator. As the renaming is just the display name. I know best practice is to put \\server\users$\bob\Documents but at the moment I am unable to do this.

Sadly I am not able to map a drive as I need to run it as a vbscript on login. Also would that command just remove the administrators read permission or all users as I only need to remove the administrators read permissions. Thank you for the suggestion tho
