219 is a great price, cheapest i could get was 225, but that was with delivery. -
lots, it means you can span a volume accross several disks ( or several parts of disks), it also allows you to stripe /mirror or set up software raid 5. it also means you can change the size of a partitiion very easily!.

i'd much prefer an msi, our setup has a default that needs to be changed on setup and i often forget to do it, hence i now work from a cheat sheet when i install, i'd be much happier with a script or even an msi i could roll out using gp.

Guns!! Lovely kids hu? Yeh tell me about it! Getting through upwards of 10 mice + 10 keyboards a week! in 3 IT Suites and they wont let me put CCTV in the rooms  ask for electric chairs, then comprimise to cctv and a cupboard to take the offenders too.

EE have just become hp warranty accredited as well. ( well worth knowing if you've ever had to struggle with Hp's warranty centre)

the problem is that the computer remembers the last ranger setting it saw, which is why you need to show it ranger with no settings, then change all your current ranger machines back to normal ( as they can still see settings)

for dummies is always a good place to start i find, and always great for a reference once your past the dummy stage.
-
i'll look it on monday when i'm back in the office, but i think i set the default startmenu to be none then installed ranger, then removed.
-
i had this too, i changed the ranger settings , installed, and then removed. tis a pain.

Yep - getting that already. I got trapped in the corridor this morning with a whole bunch of teachers surrounding me having a right go. I only wish SMT had seen it 'cos it was tantamount to bullying. HBJB sounds like you could do with some support, my smt are great, they help me with any potentially difficult problem and will shoulder blame.

good resource, could be better, but for the cost its pretty darn good!

my guess is that it doens't delete common files when it does uninstall. -
Ranger package builder to uninstall

i sometimes use vnc managers to run a script to delete either key exe files ( to block access) or to execute uninstall files. -
i'm not sure how the language works, but i installed the pack for a chinese teacher here and she seems to be able to type and use chinese websites perfectly. how to do it on many machines, i'd guess its an installation option!.

tis a known problem with word, all the other programs should be fine. have a look at the msp style, however i'm not sure if it works with gpo, but i've been running it as a script using vnc and it works fine ( on logon screen with no one logged on! )

unfortunately the network is already fast, but still not quite upto the spec the kids would like.

spot on matey, teachers sticking there own stuff on laptops is a PITA. TBH the teachers running off with laptops are thieves, serial number and details to the police i'd say!
