reasonable support, they try to diagnose it over the phone then if humoured enough turn you over to a more local company, some offer you the part, others come and fit it. Companies vary but our managed services provider are HP accreddited so its all quite smooth.

as part of a managed service i'm relatively safe (hopefully!). anyone else have any non technical qualifcations?

for an admin i'd recommend bozteck vnc http://www.vncscan.com/ its basically a vnc manager but it does all that lan ranger does and a bit more.

usbdlm my friend, search for it on the forums. Basically allows you to assign drives letters, or in the case of the orrible media card all in ones it doens't give them a letter untill it has media in it.

i found dsadd to be really usefull, its great when you have lots of acccounts with slight variations, for instance the ou they go into or where the profile should go. CBTnuggets doa really good spreadsheet which uses drop down boxes to select variables en masse.

i'd imagine a lot of the flash programs that use 800x600 would cause problems on a widescreen. WE went with 19" this year as they were only marginally more expensive than the 17" and as stated elsewhere it definately improved the speed of the machine
