Hiya Have decided to look at a basic setup of about 10-15 PCs that will use thinclient to RDP setup I am wondering if there are any useful guides, as other than using an RDP for admin, this is all new to me. Thanks.

Currently with the demo I seem to be only able to log on with one user at a time, would be nice to show the boss multiple users utilizing the same physical machine (without having to have xenserver and VMs) but I maybe unable to have more than 1 connection to the laptop that I am using to show demo.

Ye the 2 technologies are kinda the same in respect to clients logging into a server to receive a desktop, whether these desktops are virtual machines or one server with TS running. The multiple VM sounds great but it sounds like it would be a major load on any server? Would it not be better to have a server that allowed multiple connections, cause i presume these VMs would have to all be on all the time even when not in use? All new to me really thin computing TS etc Thanks for your input

I have almost setup this xendesktop thing, but I keep getting this error: No available resource found for user domain\myuser when accessing desktop group MyUsers Desktop. Am looking for any ideas what the cause maybe Thanks.

Hello I have the old Error, no valid session type! I am just about giving up with this for now, but i wondered if there was a live CD that booted to give me options for RDP etc I had an image but it just booted into ICEWM with nothin much but an option to burn to HD Anyone know a direct link to a Thinstation liveCD that will give me a session with RDP etc Thanks

Thanks for help with setting up PXE server alongside WDS, thats all good. Now another thing I just cant seem to grasp is this Thinserver I presumed I would boot from the ISO disk and get an interface with an RDP option, but i dont. I just get a desktop with an install to HD option in the start menu I the tried the live CD which seems to want to install itself somewhere, so I didnt proceed with this, as normal live cds are not .exe files they are just ISOs taht you boot into. I also looked at adding some boot files to my TFTP folder for PXE boot.... err which files I dont know, plenty of mention of how to add the files, but not much clue how to find the files. Am now downloading the tar.gz file to see if they are in there! Anyone help please? thanks

Hiya How do i set up Pxe boot for something like thinstation. I already have WDS server running and have used PXE within that context. Would I need to install anything new? Is there a tftp root folder somewhere within server 2008 if i have WDS setup? Do i need a seperate tftp setup on a linux box? I am a bit lost, thought it would be easier to ask here. Anyone help with this? Thanks
