I have tried lots of scripts to remove old printers showing up in the installed printers, nothing seems to work well and over time their seems to accumulate a variety of defunct printers to confuse the teachers when printing. Has anyone found an utterly fool proof of permanently removing these old ghost printers from showing up? Please?

I would actually prefer for the maximum speed limit through the whole country to be reduced to 30mph. (its not going to happen) But if the maximum speed was reduced to this level it would pave the way for some very efficient motor vehicles. A car designed for 30 mph could be made to be around 2/3rds the weight, and would need a 1/10th the power. It would be easy to make a car capable of 100 miles per gallon, probably more. The first heavy lorries made do with 9HP engines (very slow but they did get the job done). Also cars of this power and class could be made for £2k - £3K. The mortality rate on the roads would be slashed from the thousands to virtually nil (well if the limit was enforced through engine limiters?) The upshot of the lower speed limits would be a return to the reliance on rail transport for longer journeys and commuting. Less reliance on oil. Roads would last longer (except that lorries would still cause most of the damage) better air quality and less frustration on the roads and no traffic jams. Its probably never going to happen, though it is being gradually phased in, it seems in Dorset that most roads are 50mph max and a good proportion are 30 - 40mph.

Due to poor code on merlin we are constantly asked "Do you want to view only the webpage content that was delivered securely?" This fixes the issue. Any idea how to push this fix around the network? I did try AD IE policy and got as far as importing the internet settings and changing them, but they do not get applied to users and It does not seem to be a unique set of settings in that they are the same regardless to which gp I make the changes (though they do not replicate through the network) . I am missing something obvious here. All help appreciated.

Music factory will run as admin but not as a Student or Teacher, it coming up with a registry access error. I should know this, but its been one of those weeks, is there a way of letting a program have higher security clearance, or is it a case of finding exactly what reg values it is accessing them and amending those values security manually?
