Norphy, i think you took my reply a bit too seriously, i was having a sideways jab at the fact Microsoft always market from the approach of "well if you want to do this and this, you need to upgrade this and this" For example, exchange 12 has to run on a 64 bit system, so you have to upgrade the OS and have x64 hardware (thankfully nearly all modern servers running are Xeons(EM64T) or AMD64 platform making one less problem. XP is another good example too, if you want to be patched, you must install SP1 or 2, forcing you to have to deploy a SP you might not want to install. But this is all a moot point, we are off topic. mrforgetful: Do you have pop account set up along side you exchange account on Outlook?

One of the best ways of shutting up a server room is to cool it first, all of the fans make considerably less noise when running at 1000RPM compared to the speed they will run at when overheating. The added bonus is your fans will also last much alonger, along with your HDDs and most other components. (plus its great in summer and you can recoup the costs by charging by the minute for people to go cool off in there )

if you want a beastie look at the HP 4345 MFP, might be a touch expensive but its prolly faster than both the brothers put together and has a duty cycle of something dumb like 300K/month. It will double up as a copier/emailer if you need that sort of functionality and the staff would love you for it.
