Naff telewest broadband? whats wrong with telewest? lol Ive had telewest for years and ive never had any major probs with them (a few small outages but thats the norm) btw, it may be DHCP, but if u dont turn your cable modem off your IP wont change, ive had mine for 14 months now

When you say they cant log on, have you checked if they have physical connections (ie are the status lights flashing on the switch and the card), and if DHCP is picking up? Try assigning a static ip address to one of the clients if you have a physical connection. If that does not work, try changing the port negotiation to a fixed setting like 100mbit full duplex then do the same on the client. If all of that fails then im stumped right now, but ill have a think about it...

I had 10 Cisco AP1200s running WPA with radius, you will need to install a certificate authority with IAS so PEAP will work, it ran beautifully, shame most my clients dont support WPA yet :'(

Talking bout temperamental kit, i jus bought some ram to upgrade a few boxes and not 1 stick works out of the 8 i have in any of the 4 boxes i tried... need to see if its one of those random incompatability problems but it is kingston ram so shoud be fine(?)...

cant you just take away exec rights on the home drives? Just give them List Read and Write, even tho they dont have "Modify", it will still let them make changes to existing files, but voila, no exec rights for anything...

Well considering they can change the macro level to bypass the high security settings anyway, why not set it to medium so it at least prompts them? The only time i wouldnt do this is if i controlled macro policies and didnt let them change the settings, but seeng as the ycan change the settings it mayaswell be on medium.

Hi folks, In a bit of a bind here.... I badly need to get my hands on DSStore.exe so i can unregister the old CA i had running on the network. I installed the 2K resource kit but it does not appear to be in it?(!) and i cannot find a download for it anywhere. I'm screwed if i cant get my hands on this.

Ive managed to get online, nice work there Russ. One small issue tho, when you register, the passwrod field is plain text, nearly got caught out on that one, had a kid standing behind me :S
