  1. We've been informed this morning by Arena that black toners for our Xerox copiers are due in to them today and will be delivered to us by Thursday/Friday this week at the latest.
  2. We've looked at iSAMS but felt the reporting was lacking for what we wanted, as well as some other areas such as exams. Currently exploring Bromcom, which seems better, although I suspect after all this we'll continue with SIMS, much to my annoyance!
  3. Resolved now since they updated their extension.
  4. Working for us here now too. Is anyone still experiencing the original post problem, with the looping login, or heard back from Google about it?
  5. I've asked Senso if the two issues might be related. They said unlikely as the refresh issue should only have started yesterday but he was going to check with colleagues and confirm...
  6. Just been chatting with Senso -- they've submitted the fix to Google and are awaiting them to authorise it. They've expressed the urgency to Google but it may take a few hours to a day for them to authorise.
  7. Scratch that, Arena are now having issues obtaining Xerox toner again for our larger C8170 copiers. Very little in the way of proactive management from them, we had to contact them when toner didn't arrive, for them to admit there are supply issues.
  8. We're using Firefly extensively here.
  9. We're now getting this happening on devices where we've already cleared the user profile last week.
  10. I've logged it this morning too. Awaiting a response.
  11. 60 Meraki APs here. Older MR32 variety but still going strong after around 6 years.
  12. We're having the same issue as of yesterday. Powerwashing has resolved it but really don't want to do this on all our fleet of Chromebooks!
  13. We're currently licensed for the following: WINEDUE3 ALNG UpgrdSAPk OLV F 1Y Acdmc Ent Does anyone know if this includes Windows Server CALs?
  14. Have you had any update from Google on this?
  15. +1 for Spiceworks, if you want a free solution
  16. Looks like Office 365 admin portal not working: https://status.office365.com/

    Auditing

Spiceworks has decent free inventory software
  18. QNAP do a similar solution as Synology, called Boxafe (https://www.qnap.com/en-uk/software/boxafe) No license fees, so as long as the Qnap NAS drive supports it, it's another very cost effective solution.
  19. We run a batch file when we experience updates problems, that often fixes things, on desktops at least. Here's what's in our batch file: REG Delete HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsUpdate /v SusClientId /f REG Delete HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsUpdate /v SusClientIdValidation /f gpupdate net stop wuauserv /y net stop BITS /y rd C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution /s /Q del "c:\windows\windowsupdate.log" regsvr32 WUAPI.DLL /s regsvr32 WUAUENG.DLL /s regsvr32 WUAUENG1.DLL /s regsvr32 ATL.DLL /s regsvr32 WUCLTUI.DLL /s regsvr32 WUPS.DLL /s regsvr32 WUPS2.DLL /s regsvr32 WUWEB.DLL /s regsvr32 msxml3.dll /s net start wuauserv /y wuauclt.exe /resetauthorization /detectnow
  20. We use the free photo management CodeTwo utility contained in this page (https://www.codetwo.com/freeware/user-photos-for-office-365/), which allows you to manage this centrally. Works pretty well for us.
  21. We use CodeTwo (https://www.codetwo.com/email-signatures/), similar to Exclaimer, for our O365. Works really well for us, all configurable via their web app allowing for dynamic signatures, pulled through from AD
  22. Have you checked that the Office app (e.g. Excel) is the default app for that file type (i.e. xlxs) for the logged in user and also that Office is properly activated on that PC?
  23. We also have users sign into their Chromebooks using Azure AD. Google Enterprise App in AAD, which then provisions users from AAD into Google. You can also edit the app manifest to ensure that the provisioning of users puts them in the same OU structure in Google as there is in Azure AD.
  24. We're using Senso for this (https://senso.cloud) Works well and you can also include the safeguarding module to further protect students.
  25. Yes, you have to buy management licenses (around £27 per device from memory). These are essential for any rollout in my opinion. The Google Workspace Fundamentals Education package is free (100TB pooled storage).
