Been replacing our Oki printers site wide (about 115 of the things) most are wearing out now after 5 years (frequent jams and so on) but decent printers otherwise. Our new HP contract was much cheaper than anything Oki quoted for though.

Just checked SCCM and I'm showing 98.8% compliance site wide - so nope no issues Didn't have any issues in the testing phase as well. -
Not always....it depends on the specific cabinet that you are running off - I've even seen it where multiple cabs span postcodes but not everyone in that post code can get infinity. Also 21CN is different from FTTC so best bet is to try and sign up for BT Infinity and see what happens

More ways the merrier I've always preferred Orca - its simple and gets right to the point. -
SCCM is a tool to deploy windows updates, image PCs, deploy applications and if you are licenced run System Centre Endpoint protection. I assume by 'manage' you are looking to perform these tasks for your customers from any location. I would imagine that as the customer would need their own individual licence for each SCCM server you would be better off doing a local install then using a VPN/etc to remote into their network and perform any of the above management tasks. If you were to host it as a managed service then what if they ever leave you as a service provider? The questions asked would be who owns the lics? What would you do to transfer control to the new provider? and so on....

I quite like the QNAP ones - have put in place a TS-212 for a primary school I used to do work for and have one at home as well. Lots of very good features the main one being bullet proof iSCSI.

After helping me to- Diagnose a UDP/TCP issue when setting up our SIP trunk Diagnose issues with a web page not going through our proxy correctly Setup WoL in SCCM 2012 by working out how the packets were crossing the VLANs and identifying that the issue was with the weird Dell BIOS Figure out which DNS addresses that the new SMARTNotebook software uses and allowing them unauthenticated through our proxy I declare today a completely unofficial Wireshark appreciation day! So any other stories people have to tell about how Wireshark has helped them?

You can deploy to UEFI PCs using SCCM 2012 (FIX: Deploy Windows to UEFI devices using MDT + SCCM » RONNIPEDERSEN.COM). Not surprising that Microsoft might want to drop support for 32bit as soon as possible though - getting to be oooolld tech
-
I assume this is SCCM at play? Try obliterating the client from SCCM (make sure you get it in all systems) and then try connecting up again - you should be taken to the unknown system setup (will list all the task sequences you have).

RemoteFX isn't supported in VDI-in-a-box as yet I'm afraid. -

Was that 4.5 pre SP1 by chance? Its come a long way since then especially with connection groups in App-V 5. -

Cheers - I've packaged things all the way up to the Adobe CS6 suite in App-V so pretty much anything is possible but every now and again a little imaginative thinking is required VDI-in-a-box uses the Citrix HDX protocol so anything that HDX can do (as far as graphics goes) you will be able to do it in VDI-in-a-box. You might want to take a look at these videos- Video Editing with Citrix HDX on a Linux Thin Client - YouTube Citrix HDX Flash Redirection Demo (Citrix VDI-in-a-Box v5.2) - YouTube -

I've got loads of stuff on VDI (and VDI-in-a-box) in my website (see sig) but if you have anything that you would like to know in particular do let me know -
Rolling out software without an MSI through Group Policies
jamesfed replied to Renfield-64's topic in Windows Server 2012
What is the item of software you are looking at? Sometimes you will find that the MIS is 'hidden' within a EXE or the software dev has a MSI tucked away but they only hand out the EXE unless you ask for the MSI... -
Whats your BIOS/UEFI version like on the Mobo - looking it up on the Asus website there are lots of mentions of fixes to system hangs/etc.

As with all good projects there must first be a reason why you want to change, at my last place we had very flexible limits for students (up to 32GB) and potentially unlimited for the staff (well as much as the offline files cache on their notebook would take) simply because we had the capacity to backup that kind of data. Having a reason makes justifying the change to the staff a whole lot easier
