  1. In terms of "Night Service mode" I take it you set the Out of Hours times on the SIP trunk etc and then point them to a recorded msssage prompting to leave a message etc... If we wanted to be able to manually turn "Night Service" on and off - how this this best done?
  2. NMS edge switch lites is very basic at the moment, you can manage firmware and get some stats about uptime and loads but that is about it for the moment.
  3. I replaced my old netgear switches with Unifi Edgeswitch Lites (21 in total) and not regretted it! Nothing wrong with netgear, but I wanted cli access and lldp support. None of my netgear support cli and approx half didn’t support lldp. Ive added VLANs and cli access and lldp were a god send!! Went for the Lites as budget was tight. Very easy to configure and have CLI access
  4. @TTG_Alice I've been speaking to Jonathan and all things being well, I'll be coming to Jonathan for the 3CX License. I had TTG quote for the full install but due to budgets, management asked me to do as much as I can (which is pretty much everything as 3CX is simple to install and configure) I looked at a number of different phones - Yealink T19PE2, T29G and Fanvil X3S and X4 - both easy to add and configure - due to cost - management want to go with Fanvil X3S and X4 for offices. For the main switchboard I have recommended we go with Yealink T48Gs with a EXP40 expansion module. Most of the testing has been completed (used SIPGate for testing calls ) and I am looking to switch over and install fully during the summer break as I need to install some additional network sockets for some areas. Still looking at SIP trunks - but I've worked out we can save approx £130-150 per month once we move over to SIP Trunks etc. - Had two quotes so far - TTG and the company who maintain our aging analogue system - and looking for a 3rd, which may possible be our current call provider. Once I've got all 3 quotes it will be up to management to decide who they use.
  5. Thanks for the reply. Yep, changed the $mrbs to false and Im using the same periods etc. Strangely, if I import a single week timetable it imports fine, it just the 2 week timetable it is having an issue with This is a very small sample of the test csvfile I've tried importing - Week 1 is 1Mon, 1Mon:2 etc and Week 2 is 2Fri,2:Fri:1 IT5,1Mon,1Mon:2,12F-Ep1,DER,Ep,0 IT1,2Fri,2Fri:1,10A-WK2,SKV,It,20 I'll keep looking to see if a flash of inspiration comes to me
  6. I know this is an old thread - so apologies for digging this up. @Chris_Cookjust playing with MRBS 1.6.1 as we will be moving to a 2 week timetable from September. I have edited the file so room and periods match my installation. When I import my sims data it seems to want to import everything into the first available slot and then complains about clashes. Which version of MRBS did you test your import routine with? I can get version 1.3 working fine but it doesn't have the ability to start with Week2 (just covering my options as I have no idea it we will start with a Week2 after half term breaks etc...) Cheers
  7. Got the 1.3 version import working ok now and imports correctly Looking at the 1.4 import version seems to want to submit everything to the same period
  8. Just installed 1.5.0 and import now works - just need to tweek something as some lessons are being booked after school - will pull down 1.6.1 and have another play ;D
  9. Going to switch from MRBS 1.7.1 to 1.4.8 to see if that works
  10. Right back after a busy couple of days off and I'm still getting the same error message. I've disable LDAP and just using the admin user - to rule out any admin type issue. I'm tried Chrome, Edge, IE11, Firefox - still getting session expired. May need to switch from version 1.4 of the import routine to an earlier version and possible switch on verbose logging if I can find how to do it.
  11. I’ll have a try as the actual admin user when I am back at work on Monday. I’ll also try with Chrome and IE11 as I was using Edge when I tried the import.
  12. Hmm...... still having issues when I try and import - says my session has expired? I'm using using version 1.4 of the script - http://www.edugeek.net/forums/scripts/40387-sims-mrbs-script-available-8.html#post1522565 I've changed the period details and room ids to match my settings - think I may leave this until next week and let my brain have a rest!
  13. Just looking through the PHP file and I've just seen some lines I need to change
  14. @nwkeene I don't suppose you would mind sharing the csv format you import to MRBS - i'm struggling a little and no idea why
  15. Having spent the last couple of day working on MRBS - I'm happy with how I have managed to customise it - just looking at the import routine so fingers crossed!
  16. Have managed to get MRBS installed and running with AD Authentication and also found how to change the times to periods - so far so good! Need to look at changing the view from showing the description to the Description and person who booked the room. Also..... on the moodle version, the bookable rooms have a + sign on them - so would be nice to have that back on it.
  17. The new import from CSV routine - is that available on the current version?
  18. Interesting about blocking the desktop.ini with FSRM - ive turned it off and hope this will see an improvement.
  19. Thanks for the replies everyone - interestly Moodle is running MRBS! I didn't realise they had a standalone version. I'll download and install MRBS and have a play :-)
  20. We currently use Moodle for room bookings (that is all we seem to use it for after a recent staff survey) and rather than trying to keep this running I would like to switch to something that is a little easier to manage and use. I have been told that from September, we will be moving to a 2 week timetable. So on this news I thought I would looking at room booking systems that will do the following: Authenticate using Active Directory Import TimeTables from SIMS.net Support 2 week timetables Preferably free or a cheap as possible! SSO would be nice but not essential Prefer on premise but can be hosted Anyone have any recommendations etc. Cheers
  21. I had a play with desktopswitchtimeoutbut that didn't really improve times - just gave me a black screen instead of preparing windows. What subpaths settings did you delete?
  22. As a thought - if you wanted staff or IT Support staff to be able to still use that feature, you could set permissions on that registry key so students are denied read access to that registry key.
  23. Have you looked at ManageEngine HelpDesk - I've only used it within a single school but it does allow Multiple sites - it also free for upto 5 technicians. Can be on premise or cloud hosted (not sure if cloud hosting costs extra) Can set SLA and assign tickets to technicians depending on site etc.
  24. Thanks @alfatec for sharing. I've gone through and compared settings and I would say I have 95% of the same settings configured. The biggest difference I found is where alfatec has all settings for Office, Chrome etc within that one GPO I have mine separated out, so a GPO of Office, a GPO for Chrome etc. Is there any speed difference in processing GPOs in terms of process 1 larger GPO compared to several smallers GPOs?
  25. Managed to sort it - it was a combination of firewall rules and ticking allow PBX to deliver audio on the ext.
