I recently setup Exchange 2013 and Office 365 as a Hybrid setup so I could slowly migrate users from on-premise to 365. Today I move the last of my users over to 365 and before I remove the Hybrid config and shutdown on-premise server I thought I would ask the following question: Should I remove the hybrid config and shutdown my on-premise exchange box or should I leave them as they are for now? Is anyone else having issues connecting to Office 365? Whole school having issues connecting to emails and when they do it is running incredibly slow. Cheers

Looking to set up a shared calendar which users can view but not edit. - This bit I can do so all good. The problem I have is that any notification I set are not being transferred across so users do not get any reminders. Does any know how I can get notifications to transfer along with the calendar event? Cheers

I've just ordered 30 x 65" Sharp screen to replace half of our projector/smartboard installs. Like @FragilePete, we had a number of demo screens in for a number of weeks in our staff rooms and let staff play on them as they will be the ones who when them. I did ask for feedback from staff on the different screens and the Sharp came out on top - staff loved the button at the front of the screen. We will have a fixed desktop for use on them - staff can either use the Smartboard software or option to use the Sharp software. Sharp offer their "SHARP Display Connect" free so you can view mobile devices etc (although I have not personally used this, some staff have and said it worked well)

Just recently a number of users have said they are experiencing issues where outlook start running painfully slow and outlook reports connection issues with Office 365. I'm wondering if it could be an update causing this but before I start removing updates, has anyone else seen or suffered issues like this? Cheers

We have Windows 10 running Sibelius 5 (no money to upgrade) and Cubase 9 Elements and MuseScore which is free It does what the Music staff request so all happy here.

I have 21 Edge Lites and for edge switches I cannot fault them. £300 each with 10gb uplinks! - only a handful are using 10gb but it is a start. Even though the 10gb SFP+ switches seem really good money, the fact they are lacking stacking features means at this moment in time I won't be looking to replace my core switches. They are offering a free Beta NMS system for monitoring your Unifi switches which you can use to update firmware etc but you cannot centrally configure switches. Just install 5 Unifi CCTV camera with another 5 planned for the summer all using their free CCTV software - good cameras but again, lacking some features such as ONVIF so you cannot link them to other systems. Currently using Meraki which is up for renewal next June - so I will wait and see what Unif have to offer.

I didn't even think about virtualizing it I'll install it and have a look at the Optimization features - I do have a standalone host for running external services so that would be handy to have everything in one place.

When our HyperV cluster was first installed, SCVMM was also installed for us but not really used as we tended to use Failover Manager. SCVMM server failed last year and since I ddint have a spare server and we didn't use it, I never bothered to do anything about it. I now have a spare server - so should I reinsate SCVMM and look to use this instead of Failover Manager? What are the advantages of SCVMM over Failover Manager? I have 3 HyperV hosts with shared storage using SMB3 from another Windows Server I have approx. 25 VMs Cheers

Has support calls open with Microsoft and sent lots of log files as we originally thought it was a HyperV/Cluster issue - once Microsoft ruled that out we looked at the hardware. HBA was an intel card (cannot remember what model) - again Intel had various logfiles and it turned out the HBA card couldnt handle the IO traffic. Once we switch to a Raid Card we havent had a since issue since.

Would appear I may have been a little impatient - 2 hours later and it finally appeared on the SCCM Client!

I have LTSB deployed everywhere except on a couple of test machine which have 1709 Education which are in their own collection. I have following this guide https://www.systemcenterdudes.com/sccm-windows-10-1709-upgrade/ and changed the details for from 1709 to 1803 and set it to deploy to my 1709 collection. I've ran the Software Updates Deployment Eval (as per guide) After an hour I have found the 1803 update isnt being applied I have check the deployment status the computers are shown as "Unkown" and the Clients checked passed/Active. Am I being impatient or is this nor working?

Didn't actually thing of that..... I was thinking more of performance but that makes perfect sense

I have been playing with 3CX installed on Server 2016 and I now need to switch from my test environment to a live production environment. I will be doing a fresh installation using HyperV. I'm using a fresh install as I will be using a new/different license key and I dont want to carry over any of the test settings etc. For those who run/use 3CX - which server platform are you running it on? I have another GPO which unsets it when students logon. When I get time, I'll will take a look at MBAM

I've not looked at MBAM - I supposed I should do if that is the correct support method..... Mine works directly from GPO using registry settings and Item-Level Targetting to apply/remove the registry settings.

@eddyc this works fine on 1709 Have you made sure the RVDenyWriteAccess is under SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Policies\Microsoft\FVE

I set the hours in the admin portal but this was asked as some inset days the office staff are not always in school so they wanted a way of forcing the night mode manually. I setup the phone code but i wasnt putting adding 1 or 2 to switch between the hours
