  1. I've got Nest 2nd edition -and absolutely love it. Easy to use and does hot water as well which was important to me. Highly recommend,
  2. As a reseller of touchscreens, Clevertouch are the market leader whilst Genee have a tiny part of the market, hence why they need to offer attractive warranties etc. As mentioned by others you should be able to get a loan unit to trial, i know Clevertouch offer this service. Feel free to DM if you require any assistance with this. Alternatively the Promethean Activpanel is quite cost effective. The main differences between the screens is the software used to drive them and ability to interact with existing lesson plans (notebook and Promethean for example). Make sure the software meets your needs as much as the screen itself. Happy shopping :-)
  3. We primarily offer Ruckus however will and can supply meru if requested. We favour Ruckus due to its ease of use, flexibility, cost effectiveness and most importantly reliability. We are mainly Education based and feel Ruckus fits the bill perfectly for this sector. You are not paying for bells and whistles that are not required. Hope that helps.
  4. Juniper could be deemed overkill for Educational establishments. We favour Procurve due to their lifetime warranty (Juniper 1 year) and free firmware upgrades making the total cost of ownership low. We have noticed more and more Schools are looking at 10gb for the backbone particularly with the new wireless standard of 802.11ac becoming available. 1gb backbone links could become a bottleneck if a School embraces this standard. Hope that helps.
  5. I would recommend repatching to sort out the mess with each cabinet in the first instance. A good Networking company should be able to do this for you and even test and report each outlet - though this can be time consuming and expensive dependant on port location, quantity and labelling. With regard to your procurve switches - if you use an SNMP scanner like SNSCAN this will find the switches. By default they are not set with passwords however if they are hold the clear button down for 5s this will wipe the password. I would also recommend updating the firmware on these switches presuming you find them ok :-) We love Procurve due to life time warranty and free firmware upgrades :-) Good luck
  6. Having spoken to a couple of colleagues you should be able copy from a 1050 to an 1150 even though they are on different firmware versions. Both colleagues claim to have done this successfully. Not sure if that helps but may save you spending time restoring/upgrading etc. good luck
  7. slight correction - Network and Cabling Solutions are there - however we have rebranded so are now there as NCS Technology (8th year on the bounce :-)) Great work on the list - useful for us to see which of our competitors have dropped out :-)
