Have a look at php motion.
  3. Does the nic port have a link light on for the nic which hosts the management IP address? Have u checked the port is not error disabled on the switch? Have u checked the switch port is in the correct vlan? Once all this verified on the switch restart the management network on the host. Nick
  4. Yes if no ILO use monitor and kbd in back of server
  5. You need to check if the management network has lost its ip an that it is using the correct physical nic. This can be checked by using ILO onto the esx server and log in at the text console, then select management network. Check these settings and restart the management network. I can provide more info or step by step if needed. Nick
  6. I second nimble
  7. I would try eseutil /p but could take a while if database is large. I would set the eseutil going as well as the restore of the database and logs and use which ever completes first.
  8. Try op smart desk from op software. I've worked with ozan before and software does all required.
  9. That's what I thought. I have 175 databases to go through then.
  10. Unfortunately not , it is just a flat file vss backup.
  11. Hi We have last month deleted a user account from AD which has obviously resulted in the deletion of the mailbox. I would normally go into disconnected mailbox and re-connect it to a temporary account etc. Anyway the disconnected mailbox retention has passed so my question: how do I know which database the mailbox was in so that I can restore a backup of the database then restore the mailbox. Just to clarify the restore of the database and mailbox I am fine with, I just need to know how to identify the database when no user acct exists? Thanks
  12. If the client can not reach the network location server it will think it is external to the LAn and direct access will connect
  13. @wesleyw where abouts in the West Midlands?
  14. Please run a dcdiag and post the results
  15. Agreed the best method for you would be a Dfs name space then in future you just change the name space backend and the client doesn't notice any change.
  16. No only way would be to export to PST from the CLIENT then import on the exchange server. Have u tries to recover the failed database using eseutil? Nick
  17. They will get deleted The exchange server is authoratitive over outlook. Nick
  18. To keep your skill set in exchange up to date. Most of the schools sector may be running office 365, but most of the private sector are not. You have to keep your skill set alive.
  19. Can u change that to say * or all unassigned for all of them?
  20. In IIS ensure the binding for the default website is set to all unassigned for its ip binding. Try it and it should work.
  21. HI We have a number of servers and a number of disk threshold overrides. i need to know easily which objects are in those groups without clicking in every group. anyone got a report for group membership?
  22. @TashiDuks I don't think you understand. The domain controllers as you have said are both global catalogue servers which means that they are active active when it comes to servicing login requests etc. the users should still be able to log on if the dc that holds the famo roles is down. As people have said the primary Dns address on each server should be set to 127.0.0.1 which is its self and the secondary Dns address should be the ip of the other server. Please set like this and test. If still not working post back and I will help further. Nick
  23. Is the one you are turning off the primary DNs server address for that dhcp scope? In answer to your question, no your network will manage for some time without those roles.
  24. Yes was from cu1
  25. I find netapps easy to use and reliable. The one I used to use had been running solidly for 8 years with not even a failed disk. Although if u ask Geoffb he may disagree as it sounds like it just died!
