I get dark rum The exams problem is something I've run into a few times (Edexcel, QCA etc) where it becomes a tech issue to ensure EVERYTHING is working - and tested - without test accounts or active service until the exam is sat. I HATE online testing that requires poxy software, even worse 'server' software and plug-ins... RANT!

Just sold my N80 in favour of the K810i - N80 needed a better processor and to be smaller.. Use the camera on my SE all the time - it's excellent MP3, phone and camera should be converged - Nokia and SE will be leading the way

Just had my first "dangerous wireless radiation" complaint!
gwendes replied to Halfmad's topic in General Chat
Mobile phones do emit microwave radiation. They are harmful. A friend of my uncle developed cancer of the muscle in his upper leg - exactly where his mobile phone had been clipped for 15 years... Wifi is not harmful - not even close to the power levels and I don't think we should be subject to this sort of bs until we're strapping APs to kids heads... ...now there's an idea... -
ETA on SC2 is next year. The single player on SC is strong - I'm addicted to the multiplayer online though

scratch that - The Quad Ski! http://www.aquada.co.uk/mediacentre/quadski.php

The Gibbs Aquada - not the geekiest perhaps - but it is the one I want the most! http://www.aquada.co.uk/

I like Terran too - play fastest maps with 50000 minerals and 10 gas vesyers and as long as someone doesn't rush you can have a decent 3v3 or 4v4... I tend to never give up until the last building... flying my buildings around and trying to remain hidden long enough to build another little base - and get some battlecruisers in the air!
-
Yep - awesome awesomeness

Used to play back when the graphics were good and recently started playing again an realised how n00b I am! Any other players (or ex-players) here? It is every bit as good as you remember!

New build - dedicated offfice here, even got a window *smug* Slow connection to the main school when the lovely little sods are eating up all my bandwidth though

My girlfriend did that with her mobile phone in a nightclub!

Can you/do you refuse to support hardware not fit for use?
gwendes replied to sidewinder's topic in General Chat
It's very frustrating having to use old kit but quite easy to hammer home how the problem can be resolved. Remove the memory from half the "not working" machines and install in the others. Problem solved? If so you've got leverage with SMT. If not then you need to start looking at where else the problem may be. You should still get a speedy boot on a clean install with 256MB - try and run applications (particularly the old Sophos) and you might as well hide in a cupboard -
Especially after a curry the night before.

I love the smell of bot in the morning!

uploads? I'll be moving to a 20Mb area this month hopefully
-
Whats your policies on other department machines?

Win 95? Ouch... -
@plock - What upload speed do you achieve? How have you tested that the 20MB service is switched on and available?
-
But you need to live in London Portsmouth is getting 20MB Virgin this month and my house purchase down there is almost complete - can't wait to nearly triple my connection speed

Throwing stones in any house is silly, you might get hurt *thinking out loud* ...unless the glass was really thick - that would be cool... or bouncy stones... how big is this house? Bad grammar (and spelling without correcting anyone in particular) is very frustrating. I once received a support email from a customer that was about an A4 side long and every single word started with a capital letter. When I called him to resolve the issue I asked him why he went to all that effort to make a (huge) mistake... he said he thought it looked nicer Crazy... The title should be "Map maker for rooms" Simple.

Happened to me too - sounded genuine - spoke a few times and then vanishd. Googled his name and found that he already had a conviction for fraud and West Sussex Police were in the middle of an investigation - advised me not to persue as it would delay their case!??!!? Shouldn't have paid by bank transfer, there's nothing eBay, the Police or your bank will or can do - sorry mate The chap that screwed me was Adam Dovey - lives in Brighton

And I fear you may be the one crying when it gets back to a parent that they can access inappropriate material... just takes one and you are providing something on a par with flamethrowers and scapels. You can't say you agree with MySpace being blocked but not YouTube - both (and others) or nothing - otherwise you're hypocritical. Why do children not work with mercury in Science lessons - the educational merits of a liquid metal are huge but it's toxic so probably best to remove from the classroom- don't you think? Think of your poor internet connection and other users...

I have an Xbox running XBMC I built into a Technics amp... it's in the bedroom I built a 900Gb Xbox too (when 300Gb was the highest capacity drive available)
