i need to turn on Gender, SEN, Behaviour and Giften and Talented with a weeks to display of 3 in the Module setup portion of sims under the heading student information columns, i have been told by our support company that it has to be done manually, but i have about 60 people to do and would like to do it automatically for them, one activated they stay on no matter what machine they go on, i dont have direct access to the sims MSSQL database but i could probably rangle it somehow. any help appriciated, thanks

i think there is something screwy with the iis metabase, unfortunatley i dont have a backup from befor the problem happned, i didnt think and the server has overitten it with a more recent backup

i cant see anything else running on the server using port 25,windows fierwall is off, AV is set to allow port 25 traffic in and out, im just stumped, i might look in the IIS metabase to see if there is something screwy, but im not exactely sure what to look for.

stupid thing has gone again, its now blocking port 25 on the new ip address and the old ip address, this is starting to boil my brain

its tied to the IP adress, changing the IP address get everything working again, ive moved it to another ip address i had free and changed the settings on the isa server to the new ip address, its working now, still need to find and iradicate the port bind or the software thats causing it.

ive downloaded it, installed it but wont be here this weekend, going to see my girlfriend, only taking my tablet with me and that wont play it

Exchange re-isnstalled, SMTP Reinstalled and im still stuck, i cant get out on port 25, even though nothing is blocking it, even had the support company remove the AV to test that, inbound is still fine, smtpdiag still gives me the same error, error 10060, im just stumped now, ive run a port scanner on the machine, it cant find anything other than smtp using port 25, it cant be corrupted as its been re-install, im really out of ideas except a format, wich will be a pain butting all of our websites back in/helpdesk/webemail/remote file access ect

whatever is causing the problem, im thinking it could be corrupt smtp, antivirus has the same settings on all servers and the isa firewall is set to send port 25 to it inbound and outbound, only smtp left really

ive tried smtpdiag again, it just fails to resolve the endpoints, but it can find them, when i try it on the isa server it works with no problems at all, something is blocking outbound port 25 from exchange server but not from the rest of the domain i cant think what though, has to be local to this server, i might try a re-install of smtp/exchange to see if it fixes it, ive contacted my support company to get the original disks im in the middle of using exmerge to backup my mailboxes to pst files, its going to take a while

it just says queued i just get Connecting To maila.microsoft.com...Could not open connection to the host, on port 25: Connect failed when i try from my main machine or the isa it works fine

ive checked the isa server settings, port 25 is open both ways, and open on the council firewall, ive checked with Network Tools: DNS,IP,Email and we are not blacklisted and it can see port 25 as open, the smtp service is running and nslookup can see the mail server. the only thing i can see is we dont have a revers dns for our external ip.

when i run smtpdiag i get an error of Connecting to the server failed. Error: 10060 when it tries to connect to an external mx server, it can find the address of the external mx server, just cant connect

yes, it was set up befor i started and has been working for over 3 years with no problems, ill try and send todays now, but it only has inbound messages in it as nothing has got to the SMTP Protocol to actually be sent out, i had GFI Mail essentials installed to do the disclaimer/footer but i removed it justincase it was stoping mail, but no change

Ive rung the council as they are the ones who provide our internet connection, ill see what they say after they get back to me the logs only have inbound messages in them, nothing outbound, its like its not even bothering to try and make a connection, its not like its failing its just not even trying, im just a bit stumpped as to what could have changed.

ive set all logging to max, i can see things comming in but there is nothing about messages going out, i dont think they are actually beeing transfered to the smtp protocol at all, there is nothing in the logs for outbound mail. ill keep looking just incase. I use an MX record in DNS, been working for 3 years, we have two SMTP Connectors, one that does everywhere and one that is just for the local council to send e-mail directly to there server on the local council Internet we connect to.

@Glennda I shut down F-secure just to check and checked the ISA server settings, e-mails still arnt leaving the site, i use routing for a couple of sites, where i direct the e-mails to a set IP, but most just go directly out via the isa server @IanT I have message tracking on the exchange server set up, but its not really helping, are there any extra commands for it that you know of? I have just re-started the server and still nothing, everything is still qued

Yesterday morning our exchange server stoped sending emails, we can recive e-mails and everything else on the network works fine, but it just point blank refuses to send emails, it just ques them. I did think that it was our DNS at first as i had modified it to allow us to view a few school websites in our area that are not in our external DNS but need access to, though after checking the fault started befor i had even touched the DNS so it cant be that. I cant see Anything oviouse in the Event Viewer, it happned between 8:46 and 9:14 yesterday as the email i sent at 8:46 went through but the one at 9:14 didn't. didnt do the DNS till after lunch. just to add, sending e-mails internally works fine, its at the point where the e-mails need to leave the school it just failes. any suggestions?

our SENCo is at the moment migrating all the kids into sims IEP, she is printing off a PDF copy of the IEP report when done and attaching it to the students record in sims, with every new addition beeing added in the same way. Not really a perfect/prefered way but its a way round it i suppose.

I'm in aswell, well when they send me the infromation to download it, cant see it anywhere on the swtor site, also ordered the collectors edition copy

i have multiple sites running on our single IP address, the external DNS has all the name recoreds as one but when they hit the ISA server it figures out the packet header and re-directs the packet to the appropriate location, you could try hosting the files as a virtual directory on your moodle server, not sure if that would work depends on what your running and how it needs to be set up.

id have gone with something like the NETGEAR ProSafe VPN Firewall FVS336G, it has two wan ports and 4 lan ports all 1gb, it can do auto fail over on the wan ports, so wan1 would be main and if it cant see anything at the other end of wan1 it auto tries wan2, what have you got linking your two units together, just the switch? id guess youd probably get it sending strange routing information if it has two links active at the time without some failover implimated.

id put the win7 key in personally, but your right, acording to documentation on the miscosft site it should activate, but there is somethin about deploying 2008r2 aswell, not sure if thats just it has to be installed on your servers or that it needs to be activated though kms im not sure.
