your right, that is where they go, im trying everything i can think of to block the abuility of people to save to that location, i would use bitlocker but i don't have windows 7 ent on the system at the moment. im trying to create a script to change permissions but im having problems with UAC blocking the change, i cant find an easy wayt to change permissions on a user by user basis. i know how to do it on the machine itself but that does not help here.

I have found a strange fault today, users are able to save to computer, i don't mean the c:\ drive, i mean actual computer where drives and network drives are hosted, see attached image i don't know where to start looking to prevent this. any help appreciated. Thank You

Im using %homedrive% as the re-direction, it works, but the name gets changed, im using the same thing for all the others but appending the folder names eg %homedrive%\Downloads %homedrive%\Favorites etc The rest don't change names. If i cant change it its ok but id like it to have the correct name.

it works if you open it in new tab, but not on the page itself. i though it was our smoothwall to be honest.

I have re-directed My Documents to the user home drive aswell as all the other folders connected to My Documents. All is working well. The problem i am having is that the name of My Documents in the users Personal Folder is now the same as the home drive instead of My Documents. Is there any way to correct for this? Thank You

Can anyone recoment a software that will do the following 1) run in house on our own servers 2) run as a website for BYOD devices 3) allow access to and edit as many filetypes as possible from the web interface 4) intergrate with LDAP for login 5) intergrate with our filservers to allow centeralised storage of files etc The server it will run on will run Windows Server 2008 R2. hopefully there is something out there like this, need it or something similar when we start to allow kids to use their own devices in class. need to try and make it as seemless as possible. I've tried this, still cant get it to work, i reverted to my VBS script that works every time.

im looking for a pice of software that can centeralise the use of VNC, im sending out new images with VNC built in, i need a pice of software that can scan the network and find all machines accepting connections on the vnc port and then allow me to log in by clicking (starting the vnc software with correct settings) i have tried Remote Control Manager but keep getting run-time error 424 from it. any advice/help thank you

as an update, i solved my problem, ended up telling fog to not join the machine to the domain, im now using a VBS script to do the job when all of my other processes are finished, instead of mid way through as fog wanted to do it, it now works, it should be 99.99% compatible as it has 1gb of drivers installed as needed.

ive tried . and ive enabled the local admin for 4 logons to allow for all the logons im seeing it needs for each step.

I've applied all above, I've removed the GPO and created a new one but am still having problems. I've set as above a GPP to set the proxy settings and it does turn up in the registry but when I try and go online it fails. if I set the information manually it works, and the manual settings appear in registry. we run WIN7 an Server 2008R2

Replacment of or AP's isnt an option, as we only got them over the last two years and i have over 20 of the units, that work perfectely happy with windows and android, i might have to figure out how to downgrade them to ios5

im having problems with two IOS6 ipads, they are just not connecting to our Radius controlled wifi, all AP's are Netger WAG102's , i have two ipads with ios5 on them that connect properly, same exact settings are on all devices, only the os is different. anyone seen this? i dont want to upgrade the other two to ios6 till i get this resolved, i have tried it manually and using the configuration utility, no difference, the ios5 devices show up in my radius monitor, when they connect, but the two ios6 devices dont appear to be even trying to connect as i dont even get a fail attempt from them.

im looking as getting something that A) can keep track of all the licences we have, as we need to do an inventory pretty soon and then keep that up to date, and B) let me install software everywhere, but when the ammount of licences we have runs out wont let a new instance run untill a licence is free. anyone have any ideas? they dont neceseraly have to be the same software but that would be a bonus. thanks

we use the isa in conjunction with websence to filter what the students/teachers/stupport staff etc are up to online, the topology is like this the hardware fierwall only allows the servers to access the internet, http and https, everything else needs to connect to the isa server and pass through the websence gateway to be filtered and then allowed out to the internet.

we have had new windows 2008 servers installed wunning on hyper-v and a hardware firewall, a NETGEAR ProSafe Gigabit Quad WAN SSL VPN Firewall SRX5308, a rule is set on the hardware fierwall so that http inbound is directed towards our webserver and https inbound is directed towards our mail server. i was wondering and i have had a look myself (with no luck) if i could direct https and http connections to our isa 2006 server, that they have set up in a single network card configuration and have it direct the traffic to the correct server (as a relay), as id like all our websites to have access to port 443 not just the mail server. thank you Alun Jones

i need to get ready to migrate our moodle database to mssql for the new servers comming in summer, i have created the link between the mysql and mssql databases i currently have, and ive found a pice of sql code that will copy over a table at a time SELECT * INTO moodle.dbo.(tablename) FROM openquery(MYSQL, 'SELECT * FROM moodle.(tablemane)') is there any way of ajusting the sql statemt so it will loop through all found tables and then end? im not ver familiar with all sql syntax

Id like to know if anyone has tried to add extra features to the assignment/submissions.php porion of moodle the IT department want to have a form pre layed out ready for data entry when they give feedback i was thinging in the single view of having a dropdown that when selected would populate the text box with the selected html values for the form, just not sure where to start? anyone tried to do this? thanks

thanks, ive done most manually now, would be nice to have the script, might be something else i need to turn on in the future and it would be nice if it could be semmy automated
