Eugh!!!!!!! no no no! Thats an awful app! Use DayZ Commander instead. Much more lightweight and so much easier to use. Saying that, I thought the DayZ mod was now on the steam store anyway?

It does looks better then the first screen grab, but looking at your CPU graph, it still appears to be spiking a fair old amount!

Sounds like you jumped the gun and re-associated the new server agent with everything including SOLUS3 rather than modifying the config file to make it the "old" agent instead. Guess you'll need to log a call with Capita to get them to strip it out of the database.

Just had a call from Capita. There apparently was an issue with Patch 18180 which has caused the "Cannot find Table 8" error, odd why it's only affecting specific sites though. It has been replaced with patch number 18205. Anyone else loosing track of all these patches?!

Again, is the server name the same or different to the old one? You can't remove the server agent from the UI despite the server having the same name or a different name. You have to reuse the server entry and not add a brand new agent entry. You have to either re-deploy the agent to the server after marking it as failed in the database (if the new server name is the same as the old one), or If the server has a new name, once you load the UI and update the settings to reflect the new name, it will prompt you to install a new SOLUS3 agent on the server. You will then have two servers listed, the old (offline, with the SOLUS3 UI protection against it) and the new (online). The old one has all the SIMS/FMS database, sql, workstation settings etc set up and the new server entry will have nothing. You then have to get the GUID of the old offline server from the DB and put it into the new SOLUS3 agent config file and restart the agent. This will cause the old server entry to now come back online and the new server to go offline. You can then remove the offline new entry which has no settings against it so you can remove it without errors.

We had this in a school yesterday, the patch has done something to the time line and broke it. Any users who have the time line on their homepage will crash out with that error once they have logged in (ie, almost everyone in school minus the office staff). The only way to resolve this to restore the backup taken before the patch was applied. I logged this with capita as a P2 yesterday morning in the hope Capita would contact me quickly and be able to fix it. I've still not had contact from the Capita help desk about this. The school could not wait so did a restore. Seriously shoddy effort from Capita!!!

Yep, you cant remove the old server as it's had the UI against it. Does your new server have the same name as the old one, or is it different? If it has the same name: Load SQL Server management Studio, expand the SOLUS3 database > Tables, right click and select edit top 200 rows for the SOLUS3.Agent table. Find the old server in the list and in the agent_status cell for the old server, change the value from 2 (Offline) to 16 (Install Failed) and save. Back in the SOLUS3 UI, under the SOLUS3 Agents screen, the old server's status should now be listed as 'Install Failed' allowing you to highlight it and click on Reinstall Agent. SOLUS3 will now reinstall the agent onto the new server and you won't lose any links that have been set up in the your environment. If the server name is different: When you changed the Deployment Service Host Computer in the UI, it should have prompted you to install a new SOLUS3 agent. Load SQL Management Studio, expand the SOLUS3 database > Tables, right click and edit top 200 rows for the SOLUS3.Agent table. Find the old server in the list and make a note of the GUID for the server name and copy this. Go to c:\program files\Solus3\AgentService and edit the following file: Sims.Solus3.Agent.AgentService.exe.config Find where is says

Forgot to update. Solved: Our old friend UAC was enabled on the workstation. Turned it off and SIMS works like a dream (nightmare?).

Been helping a school get set up with SOLUS3 and they now have over 100 devices in their environment now on the latest S3 version. There is one device however where the SOLUS3 agent just won't install! It returns an "Access denied to remote machine" message and the SOLUS3 error bubble in the UI says to check that the user name and password are valid for the remote machine. They are valid as the credentials were used to successfully install the agent on a number of other devices I selected during the agent rolllout. This device is on the school domain, has Windows firewall disabled and is set up correctly in DNS, WMI appears to be OK on it too. Any ideas what could be wrong here?

No, firewall is off globally, plus I can re-deploy the upgrade manually to them without issue. They then download the upgrade and apply it so there is no firewall block. Think I'll wait to see wat Capita have to say, I don't really want to arse around uninstalling/removing/re-adding etc.

We have a school that has about 25 devices in their SOLUS3 environment. The SOLUS3 database, service and UI are all on 3.5.20. The agents on a few devices are also working fine and on 3.5.20. However, some devices are online but still on 3.5.118 and not automatically upgrading the SOLUS3 agent, SIMS, FMS etc. Strangely, we can re-deploy SIMS and FMS to these devices to upgrade them manually without issue, but getting the updates automatically, they do nothing. When the agents are idle (ie, no deployments taking place), the online agents running with agent version 3.4.118 display this error in the Message field: The message with action http://www.capitaes.co.uk/agent/2010/03/IAgentService/UpdateTargetVersionChecks cannot be processed at the receiver, due to a contractFilter mismatch at the EndpointDispatcher. This may be because of either a contract mismatch (mismatched actions between sender and receiver) or a binding/security mismatch between sender and receiver. Check the sender and receiver have the same contract and the same binding (including security requirements, e.g. Messages, Transport, None). Anyone come across this, or know of a working fix? Nothing on SupportNet but logged a call with Capita, but hoping someone's seen this before and got a 'quick fix'!
