is it asking you the username and password for the proxy? make sure all WMP are upto date that should dure the error

sounds like a political problem between the PE teacher and attendance officer. let them sort it out between them. you probably have enough to do. and if they ask you to come up with a solution, just say "what would you do if computers were not around?" and smile

Hi, we got ours from viglen. im not impreseed with the one they supplied us as it dosent have trays to slide out the laptops. can be a right pain when loading and unloading.

how many do you need? get the kids to make some for you

@ mattx yeh cleaning out the profiles is agood one if people cant log on to a domain. never understood why that works but its a usefull trick.

i know microsoft released an update recently for remote desktop. i havent heard of any problems with the update, but has the update been added and is it on the other 29 machines. MS updates in the past have fixed one thing but hack up and another. i would check this. sorry i dont know the ms update ref number. is port 3389 def open? check with cmd netstat -an

I think if i can remember correctly you need to be carefull of how many AP you have in range of each other. If you have to many it can cause problems. localzuk I agree with you. I would have a site survey done. I got my hands on a scaled map of the school and using a compass i worked out the best area to place my AP. simple but works. I've been working on my own for over 2 months now (taking the piss). Systems manager has been working from home scanning documents in to eformat for the VLE. we have 39 IWB, 39 teachers workstations, 255 student workstations, 1 mobile classroom (30 laptops), 48 staff laptops, 10 home loan laptops, 7 servers, 29 printers. i dont touch the admin network much. only when the council cant get out quick enough i have to support them.

Hi, trying to make a decision. We are updating the art department and im trying to decide if its worth spending almost £2k on photoshop or download GIMP. i know there is not much teaching resources for GIMP as the is for Photoshop. Have you guys got any sugestions :?:

Hi all I was having a look at the epson GT-50000 A3 scanner today. found some excellent reviews on them too. think it was going for about just over £600 so thats not too bad. John.. Color photo copiers.... hmm i have had a look around and im struggling to find one at the £2.5k mark. we have some hp A4 color laser printers here. the main admin office is about to give up which sucks as it is only just over 13 months old. Hp said they would repair it for £170 cant remember waht model printer it is, i will check when im back in tomorrow. think i've made my mind up on the scanners. Art teacher wants 3 of the bad boys 8O
