You could try relaunching Finder, that may unlock the menu bar, although not solving your problem entirely.

One thing we've had in regards to Mac login problems is Time, if the times are out then they won't be able to authenticate. I'd check the time before doing anything more complex.

Yeah what I actually meant was os x server and for some reason put xserve, not a good sign this early on in the week

AFAIK the only way to do this is with an xserve using server admin and workgroup manager.

This might be silly but have you selected the domain in the dropdown list of 'log on to'?

I'd go for the ACTC because if you do support essentials and get ACSP then you're already halfway to been technical coordinator. Also I personally found the server essentials easier than the support essentials. Hope this helps, Dan ACTC

World of warcraft is a MMORPG (massively multiplayer online role playing game) as a player you play against two types of players, the first NPC (non player character) these are controlled by the computer and the other type are real human beings sat at a computer somewhere in the world. As far as I know there is no age restriction although under a certain age you need parental consent (correct me if i'm wrong). There is violance in the game but no where near as much as most games today. Players can chat and talk to each other as well as join groups called guilds. You have the option of ignoring people and the game also includes a swear filter. Hope that answers your questions, I'm sure many people on here can give you a detailed description.

The main thing its missed out for me (please correct me if i'm wrong). Doesn't have the ability to run regular apps that you install from a cd, you can only get apps from the app store. If it was just a hardware release and ran full version of OS X then, for me it would have been a lot better. To much like the iPhone IMO

So the iPad, whats everyone think? Will anyone be rushing out to buy one? I know I wont be rushing to buy one, I dont feel theres enough ground breaking features.

You can set a firmware password so you need a password to boot from any cd. Just don't forget what it is.

Hi all, I'm wondering if any one can help me. What I'm wanting is something to put onto the schools home page to warn if the school is closed/open in the event of snow. It also needs to be updated as easily as possible by the head, who has no website editing knowledge. I've thought of using Twitter and embeding a Twitter badge on the site. The problem I have with this is hiding it when nothing is diplayed. I need it to kind of take over the main content when needed to. So far I have managed to strip the html badge down and with css make all borders etc invisible so it just displays the text. But when nothing is entered even though nothing displays it leaves a nasty looking blank spot on the page. I hope this makes sense and if it doesnt please ask for more detail.
