so as you can see from previous posts ive been playing round with sso /azure ad i think i have that part down to teh point i understand what im doing what im trying to do now is get it so people signing in on a domained pc can get automatically signed in to office 365 (via browser) onedrive, word, outlook. so far it looks like ive set it up correclt got it set to pass-through auth in azure (though it did throw up a message about port 443 but it shows in the console as working (though i do have a yellow ! asking me to install an agent on 1 or more servers when i sign in to a windows 10 vm its as if sso wasnt turned on. ive got a gpo adding the required site to the intranetzone and ive allowed status bar updates via scripts as documentation said. looking at troubleshooting guides they seem to suggest if i run klist i should see 1 or more kerberos tickets marked with AZUREADSSOACCT but i dont seem to have any any ideas? my best guess is its the port 443 issue but im not sure theres a lot i can do about that at last not quickly as i dont think its specificly blocked anywhere and ive not seen anything suggesting i need port forwarding to a real world ip

How are people finding the reliability of Onedrive in Windows 10
sted replied to maxrebo's topic in Cloud Services
for me personally at home /school on my hotmail account its fine not really fired it out to teachers yet id be wanting to use window 10 1709/1803 and the latest onedrive client and gpos as you can set pcs to on demand mode so tehy dont sync every file they only sync used files (less important on staff laptops but you dont want shared pcs having gbs and gbs of stuff on them because random user logged on once -
but thats last years model

ive set up azure ad connect on a test ad domain/365 tenancy and added a vm windows 10 box (1709) to azure ad and single sign on seems to be working i can log onto the vm as my user set up in ad fine and if i go to edge office 365 auto logs in as that user. Is there any way of getting it to do the same with the onedrive app as currently all it does is the normal prompt for credentials you would get on any pc with the app installed

Netsweeper with Schools Broadband
sted replied to TMBS's topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
im 95% sure they DONT use the same ports in all schools. also try it with the actual proxt rather than a pac file. ive found sage for instance wont isntall when pointed at a pac file but if i manually add the actual proxy/port it installs no issues my current issue is sophos cloud i went through it with them last week got it working on 1 pc and now it wont install on another in the same school just fails to download -
i just pushed through the wizzard and ignored the message. it looks like it was related to the ad.domain thats the real domain but that im not using in office 365 as my test use can login to office 365 (once i assigned a lic)with the password i assigned them in ad and they diddnt exist prior in office 365
-
you mean in the user properties here? then yes the test users (i havnt touched the default administrator etc (its literally a blank domain at this point user wise i have the default users and 3 "teachers". all 3 teachers are set to school.co.uk as their suffix admin etc are default on ad.school.co.uk

im trying to setup azure ad connect on a test domain/365 tenancy but im getting this message when i run the adconnect wizzard users will not be able to sign-in azure ad using their on premises credentials i assume thats to do with it showing 2 domain names the actual ad domain name ad.school.co.uk and the suffix i added to match the office365 tenancy of school.co.uk and its just complaining about users in ad.school any ideas

its worth checking the time on the macs. at least with ad i found (its been a while though) that macs diddnt seem to be very tolerant to time differences setting them to get time from a domain controller rather than apples time server fixed this

im tempted to say the xbox appx is actually useful for the screen recording stuff as well (granted it does work without it but not as well as you get links to stuff you cant do).

windows does sometimes seem to install the us language pack without being asked
-
you still need us language pack im 90% sure

it happened the odd time for me but so infrequently i just diddnt do anything about it and tbh i barely used items at all though i used a few more in my platinum run but thats the way ive always played rpgs i almost always end up with a huge stack of items ive failed to use at the end of the game (and often as not i dont use magic/mana etc either i just hit everything bar bosses so i dont run out of mp again in p5 i had items that regen 7 iirc mp every turn and at the end joker regained full hp/mp after every battle so at that point i just spammed the best magic i had diddnt halm i also had a modifier that halved magic use)
-
honestly i rarely used status removal items depending on how far you are in the game and confidant levels it becomes less and less of an issue as time goes on though when i was grinding for cash it was annoying when someone threw away more money than a battle was worth (the pokedex achievement is a pita) as a point on a 1st playthrough i wouldnt worry too much about trophies etc just play how its fun then do a cleanup run in new game plus if the trophies interest you (took me a year to get back to it but i did it)

one of these days ill start that its one of the reasons i bought a 2nd hand vita (the other being remote play on ps4 to make p5 easier to platinum lol)

though its surprising how big the open world is on a wii and getting achievements pop on a wii game is odd. its also seems to be a very different game i can see where the core mechanics came from but its weird and interesting seeing how they have changed the game and it does seem to have shorter load times than xb2. still at the point where im getting killed a fair bit so ive been grinding levels out i might possibly have gone a bit far though lol
-
finally got round to starting xenoblade chronicles (giving 2 a break for now still 1 blade left) and oh boy do wii games look bad lol

id argue that thats 1 persons info and by necessity a lot of that info has to be on the outside of the package anyway (or it cant be delivered) whereas 200 student videos (for example) is a lot more peoples info and none of that has any business to be on the envelope or in plain sight

Getting staff to take it seriously...
sted replied to Gongalong's topic in Data Protection & Information Handling
be funnier to edit the sound so its the normal email one followed by a few minutes of silence then something really annoying -
or even i think im thinking therefore i possible may be
-
if you go down that road how do you prove anyone exists and isnt made up by your own brain (or that your memories etc arnt imagined by someone else) as far as im aware it impossible to prove we arnt all the dream of some random thing in some dimension somewhere never mind it all being a simulation (or a simulation in a simulation in a simulation . . . )

blimey. though i will admit those 300 hours are since December 1st and i did play 80 ish of persona 5 in that time as well. i think though those are the 2 games ive put the most hours into over the years as i dont tend to play multiplayer and tend to won and done games and maybe play them again in a few years if ever (xb2 is doing a clever thing that i wish botw and zero dawn had done every month they add something small that takes a few hours to do so it keeps you coming back and you never loose the "muscle memory" of the game i tried to go back to zero dawn/botw for their dlc but it had been so long i was having control issues and they just werent fun anymore when you know you used to be a million times better i think in zero dawn i died to the first enemy i saw)

2500 hours wtf i though 300 in a game was bad

Weird Printing Issue from Terminal Server
sted replied to abillybob's topic in Windows Server 2008 R2
iirc if you are using a non server version of windows on the pc with the printer attached theres a limit to how many sessions/logins you can use to shared files/printers i suspect rebooting this pc would also cure it but a better solution might be getting a cheap network print share device and a 4 port switch (as you have no spare network sockets) -
it has to rise faster than the disc or it could never rise at all lol
