In Group Policy or your login script (whichever is redirecting your My Documents folder) change the redirect from a drive letter to the full UNC path name. I've heard that this resolves the problem although I've not tested it personally.

Where did it all go wrong? Fable 2 DLC = Pay once to get a massive island to explore, a whole new major quest line to follow, new armour, new weapons and a way to bring back your faithful dog. Fable 3 = Pay to get the dyes!! Pay more to get the quests. Pay even more to get the extra weapons and outfits. Pay, pay, pay. Is this really the future of console gaming? Where is the value for money? I understand this model in Free to Play games on PC and tablets, but the sales model on consoles should be entirely different.

Reminds me of when Fable 3 came out on Xbox 360. Had to pay on the release day to unlock content already on the disc that I'd paid for! You wouldn't buy a car from a dealership and then pay the salesman again so you could have the keys. Why is it acceptable in the gaming world? New levels and extra content 6-12 months down the line yes, but not stuff that you've already bought.

At the moment my two only have laptops so I rely on a FireFox web filter add-in, can't remember what it's called. Seems to work while they are young enough not to want to play around with the add-ins. I've got an Ubuntu fileserver on an old PC at home and I've been thinking about setting up some kind of web filter on that routing all network traffic through the server. DansGuardian has been one that's popped up in my searches. I understand that Untangle is a pretty good all-in-one gateway as is the Endian opensource software.

I've just taken over a new network and I've been working through their login script and Group Policy and have noticed this 'Extra Registry Setting' appearing. Extra Registry Settings Display names for some settings cannot be found. You might be able to resolve this issue by updating the .ADM files used by Group Policy Management. Setting State Winning GPO Software\Policies\Microsoft\WindowsMovieMaker\MovieMaker 1 Default Domain Policy I can't track it down in Group Policy as it appears the template is missing or not working properly. It appears to be an old Server 2003 setting that doesn't really do anything now that Windows MovieMaker is not installed by default in Windows 7, but it's very annoying that it's there and I want to be rid of it. I've found the GPO in the system.adm template from Server 2003 but when I try to convert and import it Windows says that the setting already exists. If I import the ADMX template anyway the group policy editor just gives me loads of syntax errors about the file. Is there anyway to get rid of this gpo without having the ADM/ADMX template or does anyone know which ADMX template in Server 2008 R2 might be responsible for this setting?

We used to use Netgear equipment religiously up until a year ago. Since then all of the Netgear equipment we have got has been next to useless. Wifi in one school can't hold a solid N signal and setting up the controller was sheer hell. We've still got three Netgear switches that, despite a two year support ticket with Netgear and all three going back for repair, still will not communicate with each other over a fibre channel. I'd give a major thumbs up to Unify wireless as that has been a godsend to us.

I've seen this happen when the My Documents folder is redirected to a network location by group policy.

+1 for unify. Cheap but really good.

We user Ruckus in one of the schools I work at and it's a really reliable system. However we've also had great success with Ubiquity - software based controller, cool UFO shaped APs and much cheaper than the other two.

Does the windows 7 PC have UAC enabled? I've found that can cause problems on older software not destined specifically for windows 7.

I use Comodo Dragon. It's an offshoot of Chrome but it seems to be pretty responsive for my needs.

Just to note, if you do decide to add different Linux distros to the mix, you can run the GUI tool boot-repair to automatically detect all installed OSes and update GRUB accordingly.

Our favourites include Family Guy, American Dad, Jonathan Creek and The IT Crowd. I'm also a big fan of Alias. We're just working our way through Dexter on Netflix and I've also started watching Continuum as well. My other half enjoys Bad Girls and can sit and watch them all day long if left to it!

+1 to Plex Media Alternatively look into XBMC or using an Xbox 360 (if you have one) and a Windows Media Center enabled PC hosting the films.

When you drag the emails from your easy mail account in outlook you your 365 account, outlook syncs the new emails back to your online office 365 account. Once you are done you can delete the easy mail IMAP account and carry on using the 365 account in outlook.

Allowing them to do it themselves should be easy enough. Open outlook, put in email address and password for office 365. If they are using outlook 2013 or 2010 with sp2 it should auto detect their account and set it up. Then setup easy mail as a second account using IMAP settings. Drag and drop emails between accounts in outlook.

Did you know that Office 365 offers a mailbox migration feature that can import all emails from EasyMail using IMAP? Login as the administrator account, go to Exchange and look for the migration tab. It's pretty self explanatory.

Although I haven't really tried it properly, I did once look into the online office suite provided by thinkfree.com. It's free to use the online version of the software.

I had this happen on servers in several of my schools. Every week I would set the time right and then the next week they would all be wrong again. In the end I turned off NTP checking on the server so that it had to be manually set. I then set a group policy for the rest of the school to use the server as an NTP server. All done through group policy and so far so good. The particular settings I changed were in Computer Configuration - Policies - Administrative Templates - System - Windows Time Service - Time Providers.

That's a shame. I was really looking forward to playing it. I love the Fable games and I had hoped that introducing the Fable 2 game engine to the original Fable game would have been a fantastic combo. Such a missed opportunity.

I haven't really played around with the portable version of Minecraft but are you using the latest version? I used to play Minecraft some time back and my daughter wanted to have a go on it recently and I discovered that the old client can't auto-update or play the game at all. I had to download the latest client. I believe this change may have happened when Mojang aqcuired the game.

Is it possible that Java's security is blocking that website. As I understand it the latest version of Java has meant that alot of Java applications no longer function unless you add a security exception to Java Config.
