It'll be an install option, like server core - not being forced onto you. It's reduced overhead that's a big benefit. When your VM density gets higher, the memory/processor allocation for just having a GUI on each machine becomes a sizeable chunk of resource. If you've machines that very rarely need actual intervention, then a gui-less install is a big benefit.

Er, no. Fogs an application. it provides PXE booting an OS to the clients to perform the image - but it's still an application. I'll also vouch for it's use, it's great :-)

If you've got root on the stock rom, Titanium backup can freeze or remove system apps like bloatware without a custom rom. And yes, some kind of AV is always a good idea...

Do they have access to the controls and you just want a shortcut? You could use the files option in GPP to copy them from a share to the desktop folder of the user? Unless you're already using roaming profiles, or redirected desktop?

Computer OU is fine - it's the most useful that way as your users get the right printers for the computer location. You just need loopback processing to be working - it sounds like that's falling down. The printers should still be in the management console - and they also need to be listed in the directory for this to work properly. Although looking at that config again - have you got the GPP item level processing listing AND joins for various OUs? You probably want to right click those and change them to ORs - as the machine can only be in one OU

Is one the default GAL? from memory, I think the suggested path is to set the default as denied for all, and then create two new ones with the user accounts asigned to the correct one....
