Yes, same Windows XP Home software that came as default. Ruckus ZD 'Version': 8.0.1.0 build 13 - I don't know if that's what you're after, not updated firmware - it came ready to go from CP Ltd just after Xmas. We currently have 23 connected to one, last period 31 to one. Do you have more than one AP in close proximity?

We are having this same issue and I've been told by Sophos... upgrade to endpoint [costs £]... really not good enough. Don't get me started on Conficker & Sophos, it is just not enterprise grade security.

I have one in a drawer next to me and a full class running, what would you like me to test? It works fine on Ruckus for me :-)

Get into safe mode with networking and get MalwareBytes, update and kill them all (traces of malware, not teachers).

If settings were in an INI File format / XML Format (personally, would go with INI) you could do this easily with the PHP INI funcs.

We are in the same position as Sippo... we have to allow it, disable autorun & scan as much as we can. Have been given authority to remove but it's one of those changes where the VLE has to be up to scratch to do this change, staff feedback suggests it isn't and therefore not an option at the moment. Of course, it assumes everyone has a net connection at home. By the way, instead of USB keys... the VI formers were given a laptop each!

Do you have any programming knowledge at all? Without meaning to sound annoying... could be worth while learning the basis of things like variables, constants, functions, loops, conditional statements & data types first... it may make it easier to understand what is going on rather than diving in - the best site i found at uni was learning pseudocode... i found it easier to then 'visualise' the code if that makes any sense.

It's just a piece of software that you'd put in front of the webserver to hide the server from the outside world but pass requests to the webserver... adds a layer of defense, can't fingerprint server.

We have 3 L series which I've not used yet because of the licensing issues, in testing they're great and do as they say on the tin... legally bit hesitant to use them, when forced to use them I'll probably buy the extra licensing just in-case.

To try get it working briefly you could make each service restart on fail, not fail and stop on 3rd attempt. I would probably start from scratch though, we had a lot of Dell pre-imaged machines like this in my old job the time it took to fiddle it was quicker to just start from scratch.

Workstation is a predicate to netlogon, that would be why netlogon wont work :-)

Agree with a simple solution of changing the mode for SATA in the BIOS from AHCI to IDE compat. Probably not the ideal solution though :-)
