I like BullGuard for home. It's cheap and lightweight. Possibly not really much better than Defender, but I feel better about it and I've had less nasties on the kids' computers since I installed it.

There are nice cuddly toy parrots from the Viewsonic stand. Nice metal water bottles from Classroom Monitor, and decent plastic water bottles from Cantium. Other than that, we only got the usual pens really.

This is actually great advice whether there are DLR delays or not! We came up yesterday from the South Coast and had a great journey, all except the interchange at Canning Town and the two stops on the DLR - the DLR just can't cope with the volume of people and it was a horrendous crush. It was physically impossible to get onto the first train it was that packed. (Unfortunately for me my travelling companion is terrified of heights, so the cable car wasn't an option for us!)

I just got a Corsair H45 and against logic, the instructions for that say to connect the pump to the CPU Fan header and the Radiator fan to the System Fan header.

I read that description as it being a seminar for senior leaders to get tips on how to force impractical ideas past those blockers in IT support.

Not Clevertouch but have the same problem with some Iiyama 65" touch screens. Never have been able to get to the bottom of it unfortunately.

Can the microbit directly drive a relay? I'm not sure that a relay coil wouldn't be too much current for the output pin. It might be better to use a transistor or a MOSFET to close the circuit instead. Would be quicker responding and you will only want to close the circuit very briefly otherwise the camera may take several shots.

We have a small local independent cinema, tickets are only £3.50 (£4.50 at the weekend) and food/drink is affordable too. Can't understand why people would pay those sort of prices. I baulk at the prices of around £11 at the local Cineworld, although I have to admit the seats there are more comfortable.

And generally at least something worth watching on at Christmas!

This 100%. For general everyday use (so non-CPU intensive applications), SSD vs HDD will make the biggest difference to the feeling of speed of a machine. I'm still running my 2nd gen i5-2500k at home and processor speed is not an issue, even with things like flight simulators etc. That CPU still benchmarks well against more modern lower-end replacements. I'm only considering replacement because of the crabby old motherboard it sits on - blew up my nice original Z chipset board and had to replace with a secondhand Intel H chipset board, but got conned and ended up with one with the 'Sandy Bridge recall' flaw so the disk access jams up for several seconds every-so-often.

Another +1 for PRM. Although, beware they now charge for Interactive Whiteboards, although you may be able to negotiate on this if it's a large collection.

Is the top level policy link 'enforced'? If so, that will stop the policies applied at a deeper level from overwriting it. Otherwise, default behaviour should be that the deeper policy should overwrite the top level policy.

Dear all, Might not be quite the right forum, but I'm looking for recommendations for timetabling software. We are a large Primary, but are looking at more of a secondary-type model of timetabling, so need quite a bit of flexibility and powerful features to make best use of our staff and resources. Any suggestions from the group for software to look at, or avoid? Thanks.

Don't know about hard disk, but back in bad old days of RM CC4, we used to have a special USB stick that could be switched to emulate a usb floppy. Don't know if you can still get them? Might be worth a look?

I think it will all depend on the coverage, and how the system copes with high demand and also when you drop down from 5G coverage. I am on O2, and generally where there is coverage, their 4G is excellent. However, it is much less impressive when you drop down to 3G. And not just because of the inherent speed differences. I can have a perfectly usable connection in a marginal 4G area (1 bar) but when that signal drops down to a full 3G connection (4 bars) have no connectivity at all. And forget about any decent bandwidth in crowded areas - for example places like ExCel or the NEC, can have very high strength signal but virtually no bandwidth available due to the contention. If they get that sorted with 5G, so it can cope with large volumes of users and have reliable coverage without the need to drop back to 4G or even 3G, maybe it'll be a winner.

I've got exactly the same setup (even down to the blue Netgears) and have the same issue occasionally. I've always put it down to overheating because one of the pair of switches has a very noisy fan.

Prime95 torture test gives machines a pretty good workout of the CPU, cooling and RAM, and therefore by extension the Motherboard.

And seeming no warning of what appears to be a missile launcher in the middle of the badly-labelled space!

Beware that in Amsterdam 'coffee shops' may not be what you think they are...

Had similar with my kids 360 too. Although ours never recovered at all. Again, I think the initial overheating damaged the hardware. If you want to spend a little bit of cash to tide them over, basic 360s are very cheap now at places like CeX if you've got any nearby with stock?

If you are not familiar with 3D printers, they can be much slower to produce anything than you expect. Depending on settings etc, even something simple like a whistle can take an hour or more to produce. as @JOrdan01070 said, look out for slow movement of the mechanisms, although even this could be intentional depending on the object file, settings etc.
