On a train so limited in screenshot etc, but this is a change you want to do on the on prem ui. On prem has currently loads more block page options than cloud
-
Good workaround - LMK if you need any help with making that link.
-
I doubt it - it's looking like it might need a code change. Are you currently working with any of our engineers? If so can you ping me a DM with who/ticket # - just so I can escalate importance
-
We're looking at the best way to achieve this right now...

I feel I might buy the new steam console when it comes out. Currently playing France Classified 44 or something (forget the whole title). It's an x-com like set around D-day, and the last game I will buy from those horrors at Team17 (they made my mate redundant so they can all go jump in the sea)

Web filtering for tiny classroom of 15 PCs
tom_newton replied to Divaldo's topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
Managed devices? Smoothwall cloud - I am sure we have some really small users too. -
OK, sure I've seen schools where it has, let me do some digging
-
I'd suggest use the cloud filter extension. There's no way for an on prem device to pick up cloud auth (Google doesn't support kerberos) so that's probably the best bet

Smoothwall Cloud Reporting
tom_newton replied to soapyfish's topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
No, it works for on prem logs too -
It would work in impero if you could put an exception in for accounts.youtube.com - dunno if that's possible in their config
-
I just had a moment's panic wondering if drive.google.com would serve youtube requests. Doesnt seem it will. Small mercies.
-
Yeah, sadly all of google's endpoints are identical - so you can find a google doc behind sheets.google.com and a google login behind accounts.youtube. It is a royal pain in the ass, but google be google.
-
Probably the best benefit is that authentication is extremely reliable in the client, and the filtering is starting to diverge as doing full https inspection at the network edge gets harder. Having said that, on machines that don't leave the building, there's no major downside to sticking with a working on-prem system.

Intune app config - Smoothwall browser iPad

Think you might be mixing things up - try "serialnumber" rather than deviceserial, for example All about Microsoft Intune | Quick tip: Available token types for app configuration policies -
Intune app config - Smoothwall browser iPad
tom_newton replied to steveg's topic in Mobile Devices & Tablets
I presume its intune giving you these errors? Have you tried all lower case? -
Smoothwall - Instant notifications
tom_newton replied to MatthewL's topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
It's possible to get on prem to send via the cloud these days - much more reliable, as mail is delivered from our servers, which have excellent deliverability. Support can quickly help you with that. -
Smoothwall - Maiden, update 33 hard lock

Not something we've seen widespread as far as I know
