  1. Interested to hear peoples views on this new release? - https://www.apple.com/macbook-neo/ Personally, I think they look really good. I believe they will rock the Chromebook and Windows boat a bit. The specs look good too, and I think they will perform well within the education sector.
  2. Personally, I preferred the UI and layout of Action1. It can also be deployed well for MATs as it allows you to add different sites to a single dashboard. Here is there roadmap which might be of use to you for comparing features etc: https://roadmap.action1.com/
  3. I have used Action1 for a few years now. Only recently moved away from it as we joined a new Trust and the MSP they use, must use their RMM tool instead (NinjaOne). Overall I really liked it, and they were constantly updating it and adding more useful features. I wouldn't have changed. Will it allow you to deploy apps that are not in its repository? Yes, you can create custom scripts to deploy apps not in the repository. I used it for Sophos, Office 365, GCPW etc. How does it interact with Windows Update policies from Intune, take over the policy or would any windows update policies need removing? You choose, it gives you an option to allow Action1 to completely handle the updates, or you can leave that to your MDM (Intune etc) personally I didn't let it manage updates, as we had a good update policy inside of GCPW that worked well for us. I just used Action1 for emergency updates, including apps. Can it be deployed by Intune for deployment to machines? Yes it can - https://www.action1.com/documentation/deploy-with-intune/ Can it automate complicance reports? I know for a fact that it can generate them, unsure about automatically though. Someone else may be able to advise. Any bad interactions with Sophos Intercept X? We used this exact AV alongside Action1, no issues on our end.
  4. Anyone else having issues?
  5. If they are using Office 365, (Likely are), they can opt to disable forwarding on the email. This is probably what is happening.
  6. I had to follow this process after we switched from Wonde to MyLogin, it was painful - I think I have actually mentally blocked the process out of my brain.... I will PM you a contact I have had for a few years at Wonde. They are very helpful, and have always issued advice when needed.
  7. Microsoft SSO not working for me now...
  8. We use Wonde heavily. Users get added to Bromcom, Wonde creates them accounts on the necessary apps, MyLogin then creates them a magic badge and they can log into to their chromebook + dashboard containing the educational apps. All of the apps recognise their credentials (SSO) so they don't need different credentials for each app.
  9. Wonde + MyLogin Magic badges + SSO Dashboard. Pure bliss, couldn't be without it here.
  10. Google/Chromebooks are the winner for me. Especially for students, cheaper, quick to setup, easy to manage, long update expiry, can repair in house (depending on model), policies also apply much quicker in my own opinion (and a lot of others the way it is discussed here vs intune). We are 1:1 for KS2 here, and wouldn't ever swap to a different device (iPads, Windows devices) etc.
  11. Think this has been mentioned before - https://www.yawcam.com/ See old thread - here
  12. We have a Chromebox in each of our classrooms, connected to a single monitor (main display) and then a large interactive screen (secondary display) both of these are connected via HDMI. 90% of staff choose to extend their main display rather than duplicate, so they drag any information across. No issues with that setup here.
  13. All good here, I can access the HR and Compliance modules.
  14. Not new... but currently re-watching The Office (US) for about the 10th time!
  15. Just wondering if this has been accidentally labelled as a senior position by mistake, when maybe it's supposed to be a junior/1st line position? I would expect a senior technician to have experience in the items you listed there, not desirable.
  16. Totally agree, the amount of times I think about leaving the sector! I may leave eventually to learn a trade, I am thinking gas/electrical engineer. I also think that a lot of schools, trusts, utilise MSPs more now. It's easier to get a company to come in and sort out their IT then go through the hassle of internal hiring.
  17. I am in the same position but based in the South West. IT jobs appear to be few and far between, especially within education at the moment. It is very frustrating, as I regularly see amazing jobs posted here, but they are just too far away.
  18. Thanks for the update, we don't use Splashtop - but useful to know 🙂
  19. Suitable for someone in Cornwall? - asking for a friend 😆
  20. Damn! just a bit far from Cornwall 😢
  21. Hmmm, another easy to one miss and I have seen happen before - double check your services in the Workspace Admin Console. Apps > Additional Google Services > Settings for GCP. Sometimes this is turned off, but still allows users to sign into the platform. There is a setting there for Project Creation as well.
  22. This is going to sound super silly... but I am assuming you are logging into GCP with a super administrator account?
  23. From memory it's 90 days before renewal. This may have changed though!
